I ordered the Arcteryx Waomen's Theta SL Hybird jacket before a ten day bicycle camping trip in the spring. It came in very handy as weather protection! I ordered mine large enough for layer underneath because it is unlined, but it layers well with a good fleece or soft-shell. I've used it since on multiple hiking and camping trips, and just on my bike commute. BEST FEATURES: I love the Gore-Tex waterproof zippers, pit zips, fully adjustable hood, and the drop-back hem was especially nice when in a riding position. Loved that the sleeves were long enough for me as well (i'm about 5'9' and HATE when sleeves are too short!) All in all, a great lightweight rain-proof jacket. Compatible and versatile Very pleased!
I had the version of this jacket from 13 years ago, and I've finally retired it to use while doing work around the house in the cold. This new version of the Theta is so much better! It's bright, smooth, and even more thoughtfully constructed the my last version. Every bit of it is there for a purpose, which it does wonderfully, without ANY excess weight. It packs very easily into it's hood and is very compact. If you're looking for bells and whistles, this isn't your Arc'Teryx, but if you're looking for a great ultralight shell for wind and rain (and warmth with even just long underwear beneath), this fits the bill. I expect to use this for another 13 years.
