I bought this for my wife for Christmas. Its been great for the relatively mild winter we have had this year in the northeast. Just after Christmas we visited a friend who my wife quietly refers to as the "most stylish person she knows", we went to the park with the kids and..... both ladies had the same coat.
This coat not only looks gorgeous on (and off), it's been keeping me warm during winter in Northern Colorado. It has a very feminine look / fit unlike my old peacoat that makes me look like a snowman. The fabric on the outside and inside is smooth and soft and the sleeves on my shirts don't bunch up when I put it on. The coat is versatile - I wear it daily with jeans, slacks, skirts, and dresses. I love the material at the wrist that helps keep the sleeves from covering my hands (I have short arms). Even the subtle Arcteryx logo on the sleeve (light lavender on the carbon copy) is cute! I agree that it is a little snug, but true to size.
This coat is warm and stylish. It runs a little snug but true to size. The sleeves are a bit tighter at the wrist to prevent any cool air running up your arm and it is long enough to keep the cold off of your legs but not so long that it sweeps the snow or gets spattered with slush as you walk. It looks great with dresses, skirts, boots, pants or just casually with jeans! I wish I could afford it in every color! I'm 5'4", weigh about 125 and wear a size small.
