I wear this to the office everyday and it doesn't look "technical". Super warm and will not make me sweat since it's breathable. Very comfortable and doesn't make that crunchy sound some rain shells make. Quality mid-layer for sure! Very, very packable! Packs down to a size of a Nalgene bottle. Super lightweight and feel like you're wearing a sleeping bag...no kidding! Pit zips? Who needs them! This has a breathable fabric that vents heat all day long...it's along the sides of the jacket. Nice internal pocket for that ipod or electronic gizmo. Probably the best midlayer I've ever had. Only thing I could suggest is more colors. :)
I gave this as a gift for my boyfriend last year and I finally had to get my own since I was so jealous. It was perfect for this mild winter and as long as I am moving: walking to class, running errands, etc, I am comfortable in this down into 40 degree temps. Throw another layer like a fleece underneath and I'm okay into the 30s. My favorite features are the fleece lined collar and pockets and the stretch wrist band to keep the chilly breeze out. I am 5'4" about 110 lbs and a Small was the perfect fit to allow room for layering.
