Chest / Bust - Measure around your chest / bust, holding the measuring tape under your armpit.

Waist - Measure around the natural waist, which is often the narrowest part of your waist.

Hip - Measure around your hips at the widest part.

Sleeve Length - With your arms in a slightly bent postion, measure from the center of the back of your neck, along the length of your arm, to the wrist.

Inseam / Pant Length - From a standing position, measure from your crotch to your ankle.

Head Circumference - Measure the full circumference around the widest part of your head.

Hand Length - Measure from the tip of your middle finger to the base of the palm.

Hand Width - Measure the circumference of your hand around the knuckles, excluding the thumb.

• Please note that all the info provided above refers to body measurements, and NOT the dimensions of the garment.

Next to Skin Fit - These snugly-fitting garments are made with stretch fabrics to fit next to the skin to enhance moisture management and thermal efficiency. Garments in this fit category when constructed using Arc'teryx's heavier-weight AR and SV fabrics also perform very well as mid layer pieces, and users should consider selecting a larger size to accommodate a base layer underneath if the intention is to use this layering system as a mid layer option.

Trim Fit - Trim-fitted garments share the motion-friendly traits with Arc'teryx "Athletic" fit garments, but are patterned with lower volume for reduced bulk. These close-fitting pieces layer well under other garments.

Athletic Fit - This is the "Arc'teryx Standard" fit. These complete patterns utilize anatomical shaping and gussets to enhance motion by minimizing excess bulk. Easy layering under or over each item extends seasonal versatility and comfort.

Relaxed Fit - Relaxed fit garments rely on higher volume patterns and a reduced amount of articulation to offer roomy mobility.

Expedition Fit - Cut roomier than the Arc'teryx Athletic fit and suitable for winter/extreme conditions, Expedition (XPD) fit garments are cut larger to accommodate multiple layers without binding or restricting movement.

• You can find the fit type and additional fit info for Arc'teryx styles in the product description FEATURES and SPECIFICATIONS.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Love/Hate The Zipper So, like a lot of Arcteryx gear, this jacket seems to have taken a direct aim at fixing the problem of a minority of users. Namely, the offset top of the main zipper which some people don't like having right in front of their face when the weather is wet/cold. But I think solving the zipper issue created other issues with this jacket. The collar seems strangely stiff on one side if you have it zipped but don't have the hood up. If you leave it open, the flap is longer on one side and tends to flap more. Full disclosure: I bought this jacket, but have received others from Gore for participation in the MountainTechs program since 2007.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this jacket!!! I love my sidewinder jacket. It fits perfectly and layers well with my Atom Lt and any of my base layers. I have worn it by itself with just a long sleeve shirt on warm days. I can say enough about the quality of the jacket. The left side of the jacket does flap in the wind if it's not zipped up all the way, but that's expected with a design like this. Perfect jacket for skiing the resort or skinning to the hut. I would definitely recommend to a friend. Thanks Arc!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A sanctuary for those opposed to moisture Great shell. Perfect for the snow but my favorite is to throw it on during downpours and emerge drier than a four hour-lecture on the intricacies of 17th century european politics. Thought the side-winding zipper might look weird when you're not zipped up and walking about town, but it looks almost normal (this fits my personality). Not a bargain but great quality and a good look, highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Multi-Use Jackets We've Ever Owned Was time to re-gear this year for both of us, woolly mammoth skins were wearing thin. Both (my wife & I) purchased Arc Sidewinders. I buy for utility and protection. She buys to enhance her ski-bunny appearance. We almost never buy the same articles.,,Have now skied through almost all conditions: cold (-25*C), deep pow (Fernie, Kicking Horse), wet & sloppy with rain on the downside. We both love them. Absolutely windproof and water tight. Light, non-restrictive fit (true to size in both our cases - Men's XL, Women's S). Complete versatility in its shell configuration. Sleeve cuffs fasten to any required size. Handy pocket configuration. Hoods fits well over both helmets. Offset zipper is great - allows multiple underlayer zips for climate control without bunching / choking. ,,Would not change a thing - we're set for the long haul. Way to go Arc'teryx.,,Oh ya... forgot to mention... ski bunny draws a LOT more looks now. Did I say it's warm? Well... on her it's HOT!,,Cheers!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super heavy duty not paper thin arc jacket. So I was telling all the lovely people at the e. Lansing store, namely Audrey and Peter, how I buy sweet things and then use them for reasons entirely different than they were designed for. Yes this is a sweet snowboard jacket, yes it's gonna keep you dry with its sweet gore-tex pro material sonic welded seams which have been reduced in width to save weight......blah blah blah. Here is what I really care about, I'm a builder in Lansing mi. I work in shit weather a lot more than I shed the Rocky Mountains. I back pack northern MI, I went to Costa Rica for my honey moon, I fly fish the PM, Au Sable, and the Manistee to name a few. This jackets is legit whither I'm stopping leak in a torrential down pour on someone's roof, trekking across the Guana Casta region, walking through dense brush to get to my favorite fishing hole, or kayaking across Craig Lake in the U.P. you want a snowboard jacket buy something flashy and trendy, you want a life jacket, this is as good as it gets.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Buy it. Nice and light. Not too baggy in the torso, but plenty of room for enough layers to keep you warm when needed and sleeves that are plenty long (even for me - 6 ft, 170 lbs with a 35" sleeve).
