ARC'TERYX MEASUREMENT and FIT GUIDE

HOW to MEASURE:

Chest / Bust - Measure around your chest / bust, holding the measuring tape under your armpit.

Waist - Measure around the natural waist, which is often the narrowest part of your waist.

Hip - Measure around your hips at the widest part.

Sleeve Length - With your arms in a slightly bent postion, measure from the center of the back of your neck, along the length of your arm, to the wrist.

Inseam / Pant Length - From a standing position, measure from your crotch to your ankle.

Head Circumference - Measure the full circumference around the widest part of your head.

Hand Length - Measure from the tip of your middle finger to the base of the palm.

Hand Width - Measure the circumference of your hand around the knuckles, excluding the thumb.

• Please note that all the info provided above refers to body measurements, and NOT the dimensions of the garment.

FIT TYPE INFO and DETAILS:

Next to Skin Fit - These snugly-fitting garments are made with stretch fabrics to fit next to the skin to enhance moisture management and thermal efficiency. Garments in this fit category when constructed using Arc'teryx's heavier-weight AR and SV fabrics also perform very well as mid layer pieces, and users should consider selecting a larger size to accommodate a base layer underneath if the intention is to use this layering system as a mid layer option.

Trim Fit - Trim-fitted garments share the motion-friendly traits with Arc'teryx "Athletic" fit garments, but are patterned with lower volume for reduced bulk. These close-fitting pieces layer well under other garments.

Athletic Fit - This is the "Arc'teryx Standard" fit. These complete patterns utilize anatomical shaping and gussets to enhance motion by minimizing excess bulk. Easy layering under or over each item extends seasonal versatility and comfort.

Relaxed Fit - Relaxed fit garments rely on higher volume patterns and a reduced amount of articulation to offer roomy mobility.

Expedition Fit - Cut roomier than the Arc'teryx Athletic fit and suitable for winter/extreme conditions, Expedition (XPD) fit garments are cut larger to accommodate multiple layers without binding or restricting movement.

• You can find the fit type and additional fit info for Arc'teryx styles in the product description FEATURES and SPECIFICATIONS.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Jackets But Depends on Your Fit Desire Was excited but a little disappointed. It is a great jacket. Technically, very light, super warm. Why I didn’t like:,,1. 5'11, 181 pounds. 41 to 42 inch chest and 31.5 waist. prefer a better fit. Surprisingly, even though I ordered a M it is a little loose. My Marmot Softshell fits better. ,,2. Love the arm sleeve pocket. it is cool, unique. useful. BUT this pocket is way too small. iphone 4s with no cover, great. With a phone protector, forget it. ,,3. Black, it is too black. Adding a little colorful zipper (line orange? yellow? blue) on the sleeve pocket would have added a nice touch. Anyway, wanted to love it. For someone a little thicker, this would be golden,,

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost Perfect I have to start by saying i love this jacket. This is favorite jacket for anything between 25-60 degrees. I am 6'2" 215 and i got an XL. The sleeves are a little long, but the L was too small. ,,,,The one thing that continues to bother me the most is the pockets are an open mesh type material and if you have the pocket unzipped it's just like opening up vents; the breeze just blows through it. I've been trying to not use the pockets and keep the zipper closed, but that defeats the purpose of a pocket. Maybe they are vents and not pockets haha,,,,I will also say that the sleeves can be a hassle to get in and out of depending on what you're wearing underneath.,,,,,,,,

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A great improvement on the previous model! Firstly, the Fortius 2.0 feels better in my opinion than the old Polartec model. The jacket now feels slightly more substantial than the previous model, but by no means heavy.,,The new model has a slightly looser, and is a bit longer in the front. I would describe the Fortius model as just a bit more relaxed fit compared to the old. ,,The pocket and zipper setup is the same, but the cuffs are now the same material as the jacket. Sleeve length is the same as well.,,Overall, the jacket feels like an improvement in materials but makes me question my size a bit. I'd say it is cut more like shell it is designed to be less of a mid layer fit that last years could be used as.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great outer layer that can double as a mid-layer This is a great lightweight outer layer jacket that could also double as a lightweight mid-layer. It offers some warmth, but on cold days wearing some merino wool underneath is definitely required. However on slightly warmer days, just a t-shirt underneath will do the trick. This Gamma MX jacket repels the wind and is a great complement to the Covert. The material has a little bit of stretch but is provides more of a "fitted" fit. If you were medium is most Arcteryx items, then Medium is likely what you need for this jacket. However, if other items, such as the Covert, are a bit tight in Medium, then go on size up with the Gamma MX, otherwise you might find it a bit too small.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from As soon as I tried it on, I knew it was the one Love, love, love this jacket. Was in the market for a versatile Arc'teryx jacket and as soon as I tried it on, knew it was the one. ,,,,Fit: Excellent, esp for an athletic build. True to size, adjustable at the waist. Ordered a Lg and I'm 5'11" from 180-200 lbs. Oh, BTW, pretty darn comfy as well.,,,,Fashion/Colors: Off the charts, great looking jacket. My new go-to. All three colors look good, I chose blue. Its more of a true blue than the picture portrays. ,,,,Technical Aspects: Versatile! Its not going to be completely waterproof but will be somewhat breathable and handle snow, light rain, wind, cold weather. Well placed and convenient pockets.,,,,Negatives: Non-adjustable wrists.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sweet New Look - Work Out to get on !!! Arcteryx decided to lose the PolarTec technology shell and replaced it with a new more flexible outer material which is a great upgrade. Get ready for a workout though to get your arms in the sleeves. They included a "fleece type" material lining in the sleeves which causes some drag. Plus if your built like a southern corn feed male you may want to look at another jacket that doesn't fit like hipster jeans.
