"Poor stitching. Rips after a few wears."
This is an amazing looking, feeling shirt but I bought it and the seems ripped after one wear. I returned it and exchanged it for the same make/model and the seems ripped again. I didn't do anything to it other than normal wear but the stitching or thread they used is weak. Full pass on this.
I have yet to be disappointed in a Arcteryx clothing product and this shirt just adds to my favorite collection. It's warm with a great fit...and my wife can't keep her hands off me when I wear it!! She loves it too even when it's on the bedroom floor...still looks great there as well! Need I say more? Go Jackets!! (Georgia Tech for those in Rio Linda)
"Fell apart the first time he put it on!"
My husband loves Arcteryx, and we've never had anything but great experiences with their products. So when I saw this shirt, I thought it would be the perfect Christmas gift. I did see one review that said the pocket came unsewn from the shirt when the wearer tried to unsnap the pocket flap. I disregarded the review (bad move), as my husband never uses the front pockets. The shirt looked absolutely great when he tried it on. Perfect fit, which is tough on my 6'4" this hubby. It was a relatively slim fit, but still long enough in the body and sleeves. Not boxy at all.BUT, when he went to put it on to wear Christmas day....the seam where the pocket was attached to the shirt was completely frayed and the pocket was hanging off the shirt. For what I paid for this shirt, this is ridiculous. He will be returning it today. :(
I own quite a few shirts of the outdoor variety. This is now my favorite shirt. The cut accentuates the shoulders and is narrows down at the hips. I have a 44" chest and depending on the cut of the shirt can go with either a medium or large. I ordered a medium and had to send it back for a large. I bought the utility green which is darker than shown online. The shirt has snaps instead of buttons which I was not sure about but have grown to like. The absence of buttons gives the shirt a subtly diffrent look.
"As always with ArcTeryx, you get what you pay for."
I've owned several Arcteryx soft and hard-shells, but this shirt is one of my first forays into their standard clothing apparel. Like nearly every other item of theirs I've purchased, this shirt is top-notch. It has the look and feel of a classic, well-worn shirt; the interior is soft against the skin, and the exterior is a fairly thick material that will stand up well over time. The logo is understated and situated between the shoulder blades. Snap buttons are also a plus. I liked it well enough to order a second. So, if the price doesn't deter you (and if you know Arcteryx quality, it shouldn't), go for it! You won't regret it. Fit is true to size for my experience; I'm 6'2" and 190 with longish arms, and the Large is great.
"Kick ass shirt, definitively get your money's worth on this one"
This shirt looks and feels beautiful, the polyester/wool blend feels awesome and is perfect for non bulk warm. Seems to run a bit large, I usually wear a size medium, and had to size down to a small for an athletic not too tight fit with amble room to move about, I am 5'9 178lbs with a semi athletic semi couch potato body
