How to Find Your Foot Measurements

Arc'teryx packs are sized either in 3-length options: Short (S), Regular (R) and Tall (T), or in 2-length options: Short/Regular (SR), and Regular/Tall (RT).

Sizing refers to YOUR OWN BACK LENGTH

Measure your Back:

• Measure along the spine between the 7th cervical vertebra and the level of the hip iliac crest
• Compare this measurement to the Sizing Charts
• It is possible to interchange different size shoulder strap and hipbelt components on many Arc'teryx Packs, but this will not change or affect the back-length of the pack.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unbelievably roomy and comfortable! Yesterday, I packed almost all the gear I plan on bringing for a two day backpacking trip for 4 adults into this pack. That includes 1 sleeping bag, 3 sleeping pads, 1 pillow, 2 camp stoves, 2 1.0 liter fuel bottles, 1 large set of cookware and a bunch of assorted odds and ends. I actually still have room for more gear and clothing! The rear sling holds 2 tents w/ footprints and gear lofts! The side mesh pockets are deep enough for 48oz. Nalgene bottles. After tweaking the adjustable shoulder harness and fiddling with the straps, this puppy fits like a glove. I took it out for a 6-mile "test hike" today and felt no discomfort at all. This pack is absolutely the best!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far, so good On my first few trips, I've been extremely pleased with this pack. The hip belt carries weight better than anything I've used before. The hydration pouch is large enough to house my 3L Hydrapak with no problems. The pack itself is cavernous, but very easy to access, as is the top lid. The side pouches are well-sized, easy to take a 1L Nalgene in and out of without removing the pack, if needbe. The bag compresses well to adapt in size from a multiday outing to a day trip (though still a bit tall for the latter). My only major complaint thus far is the tiny size of the hip pockets, which make it awkward to store my PLB and GPS, which easily fit the hip pockets of Gregory packs.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Pretty good pack I chose this pack because it is different from my usual one. I like that the pack completely opens. I like the very large front pocket, the top pockets – two zippered compartments. My biggest complaint was comfort. I was constantly hiking it up, adjusting straps. After 30 miles, I finally adjusted the shoulder straps (you cannot adjust the waist belt on this pack). That helped, but it was still a pain. I think with 20 or 30 pounds less weight, this will be a wonder pack for me. I am going to go ahead and recommend it, though the price is high – again, I got this pack because it was a gift.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This pack started falling apart 4 days into a 21 days backpacking trip. Four days into the trip both shoulder straps blew out and had to be speedy stiched in the field. This pack needed costant repair and with 5 days left on the trip the 2 metal stays of the pack blew out the bottom of their support system. The fabric the pack is made out of is too weak as well. Prior to this pack I had an old, used NOLS Deuter pack. This pack had lasted many NOLS trips as well as my personal use of it which included a month in the Wind River Range as well as 5 months in Patagonia. I still use this pack almost everytime I go out while I have already returned my Altra. The altra might be good for nice, wide trails but it was not built to bushwhack or do any of the fun stuff.,,

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Its Arcteryx @ half price! No Brainer. I bought this pack for my boyfriend so that he can haul the majority of our camping and climbing gear (win-win)! He's 6ft and 190lbs and the Tall fit just fine. I took the pack to REI to compare to competitors (REI, Gregory, Osprey) and the other bags didn’t have waterproof material or waterproof outer zippers. ,,The odd thing about this pack is that the water reservoir is to the side and not centered. Also there is no extra sleeping compartment for a sleeping bag/pad BUT the zippers can go all the way to the bottom so you can still remove gear from the bottom without disturbing the top. The moving lower back brace is amazing and the head rest for the back of your noggin is pretty sweet too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent design and comfort I purchased this pack last year for traveling as I learned on my first European excursion that a rolling carry-on was NOT the way to go.,,,,As others have noted, the design of the frame curves in to the main pack. This does limit you a bit, especially if you plan on bringing a small laptop or iPad with you. I've found it's best to place your iPad in first, then pack around it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Serious awesome ruck! Arcteryx does it again. This is my second Arcteryx pack and I can say I am highly impressed. After years of being in the military and my back being killed this pack defiantly saves my ass from being sore at the end of the day. Great on the mountain as well. If you can afford it this is the pack to go with!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable, Simple, Waterproof Took this pack through Peru, and have no complaints. Frame is very comortable. The side entry into pack is handy. Was going to go with a Whitney 95, but very glad I went with the Altra 75. Sturdy components, and good in all conditions. Highly recommended.
