ARC'TERYX MEASUREMENT and FIT GUIDE

HOW to MEASURE:

Chest / Bust - Measure around your chest / bust, holding the measuring tape under your armpit.

Waist - Measure around the natural waist, which is often the narrowest part of your waist.

Hip - Measure around your hips at the widest part.

Sleeve Length - With your arms in a slightly bent postion, measure from the center of the back of your neck, along the length of your arm, to the wrist.

Inseam / Pant Length - From a standing position, measure from your crotch to your ankle.

Head Circumference - Measure the full circumference around the widest part of your head.

Hand Length - Measure from the tip of your middle finger to the base of the palm.

Hand Width - Measure the circumference of your hand around the knuckles, excluding the thumb.

• Please note that all the info provided above refers to body measurements, and NOT the dimensions of the garment.

FIT TYPE INFO and DETAILS:

Next to Skin Fit - These snugly-fitting garments are made with stretch fabrics to fit next to the skin to enhance moisture management and thermal efficiency. Garments in this fit category when constructed using Arc'teryx's heavier-weight AR and SV fabrics also perform very well as mid layer pieces, and users should consider selecting a larger size to accommodate a base layer underneath if the intention is to use this layering system as a mid layer option.

Trim Fit - Trim-fitted garments share the motion-friendly traits with Arc'teryx "Athletic" fit garments, but are patterned with lower volume for reduced bulk. These close-fitting pieces layer well under other garments.

Athletic Fit - This is the "Arc'teryx Standard" fit. These complete patterns utilize anatomical shaping and gussets to enhance motion by minimizing excess bulk. Easy layering under or over each item extends seasonal versatility and comfort.

Relaxed Fit - Relaxed fit garments rely on higher volume patterns and a reduced amount of articulation to offer roomy mobility.

Expedition Fit - Cut roomier than the Arc'teryx Athletic fit and suitable for winter/extreme conditions, Expedition (XPD) fit garments are cut larger to accommodate multiple layers without binding or restricting movement.

• You can find the fit type and additional fit info for Arc'teryx styles in the product description FEATURES and SPECIFICATIONS.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Mountaineering Bib! I bought these about 15 months ago and have used them many times. I do backcountry snow camping and snowshoeing. The bib has kept me warm and dry every time. It has several pockets; one where I keep spare batteries exclusively.,,,,I use this bib as an outer as well as an inner layer. During the day when I'm on the trail I wear the bib as the outer layer (Only layer besides underwear). After I set up camp and am ready to lounge around, I just put on an over-pant and wear the Arc'Teryx bib as the base layer because Gore-Tex does a great job at keeping heat in.,,The hem has a draw cord to create a gaiter set up and also has holes to attach cord to wrap under the boot like gaiters as well!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Made by profectionists for profectionists. Arcteryx has thought of everything. The new Gore-Tex ProShield seems much more comfortable and supple than the XCR fabric. The upper part of the bibs are very flexible and supple fabric that feels as though you are wearing pants, not bibs. There are removable foam pads in the knees for those hard falls on the slopes. There are also pockets on the inside and outside of the bib's chest. YOU WILL NOT GET WET. Waterproof zipper extends all the way down through the crotch and up the back with three separate zipper pulls on the track so taking care of business isn't as bad in a blizzard. With the heavy duty instep I don't have to worry about destroying the pants by just hiking in my mountaineering

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Magnificent and priced accordingly. I love these pants, I cherish these pants. We have formed a close bond that shall last a lifetime. Are they good value? Dare I whisper..No. These are wonderful pants and as one can read between the lines, I love these pants but they are expensive and I reduced the rating as there are other pants that will do the same job for less money. I bought these on sale and could justify the price. If you get one of those 20% off deals, I think you can justify the price. They are truly wonderful bibs....and to think i endured some crappy TNF pants for so long.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from keeps your biscuits dry. I have used these pants extensively, from mountaineering trips to Mt. Olympus, to backcountry, multi-day snowshoeing trips in the Cascades. These pants are exceptionally well made. The fit is fitted without being tight, and not baggy. The ProShell holds up like a champ and the full length zippers are a great feature as well as the crotch zipper. Highly recommend. *note: I was given these pants as part of the MountainTechs program. However, even if I was not, I would have written the same review as I truly believe in Arcteryx products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The only pants that should be used outdoors! These pants are just the creme of the crop! I combine them with the Alpha SV Jacket and I feel prepared for any kind of North Western weather!,,,,These are tough, bomb proof pants that will survive your most demanding climbs. I use them for mountaineering (5000m +) and ice climbing and could not use anything else. ,,,,Too hot, open the zippers on the side for as much air as you want. Too cold, add a powerstretch under layer and you feel fine in the worst blizzard.,,

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Get these. Period. These hardly need a review. They could only be better if they would hold up to sitting down on an MSR XGK stove blasting on a full bottle. They are waterproof. The cut has room for layers but isn't too bulky to get around. There's a poop chute zipper. The chest pockets are roomy and convenient. The only thing you have to do is add stirrups on the cuffs they don't come with instep elastics, but there's a drawcord on the cuff.
