Women's Arcteryx Jackets |
I can come up with a gazillion reasons that women's Arc'teryx jackets are miles ahead of the competition when it comes to flexibility, durability, and regular old ability. You'd probably just get really bored and leave, though, so I won't get into it. What I will get into are the types of women's jackets Arc'teryx makes, so you can pick the one that's right for you. I'm all about empowerment in decision making. I was gonna make that my middle name, but it wouldn't fit on my driver's license. If you need something super flexible for trekking and climbing, I'd suggest you go with an Arc'teryx fleece jacket. Basically, there are two types: fleece and hardfleece. Hardfleece, like the Women's Arc'teryx Hyllus Jacket, has excellent wind resistance and water-repellancy, so it's a great choice as a stand-alone jacket for the trail. Arc'teryx women's fleece jackets make excellent midlayer insulation for the coldest days, or stand-alone jackets in calm but cool conditions. Arc'teryx has a fancy system for categorizing their women's hard shell and softshell jackets. Normally, I'm not much of a fan of fancy systems, or systems in general, but I'll make an exception for Arc'teryx, because their system makes it easier to pick the right jacket for the climate or activity. Wow, that was a long sentence. Anyway, here's the deal: SV means severe weather, these jackets are the most durable for harshest conditions. AR means all around, so these jackets are midweight and the most versatile. MX is for mixed weather and dynamic movement, so these jackets are great for climbing and trekking. LT is light weight, so these jackets are light and trim. SL means super light, and these garments use PacLite fabrics. Finally, SK is for ski touring, and these jackets have generous articulation for ski touring and alpine climbing. |
