The Patagonia Better Sweater line has been around for years, and is a true legend in the outdoor industry. The line ranges from everything like jackets and pullovers all the way to vests, hats and scarves. Everything in the Better Sweater series is designed to function well on the mountain, but look good in the city. And it does too. No joke. I have like 4 of these things in different styles and colors.
I consider the Patagonia Better sweater my go-to jacket. I love it for those mornings when I wake up, and I really don't know what the day has in store for me. I can wear it into the office on those cool mornings. Then I can duck out a bit early to get in some skiing, wearing the jacket as a mid-layer, under a shell. I'll ultimately finish out the night at the local bar, still wearing my better sweater. An entire day's worth of different activities, and I never even need to change clothes. That's pretty great.
I also love my Better Sweater jackets because they're super comfy. Made with a quality polyester fleece and a soft micro-fiber jersey material around the collar, cuffs, and pockets it resembles the warmth of my favorite sweater, while providing the comfort of my favorite silk shirt. Patagonia designed their Better Sweater line to offer the performance of a fleece, while maintaining the look of a classic wool sweater. I have to say, they really nailed it.
Everything in the Better Sweater line is made in a Blue Sign approved mill. That means these products are made in a factory that is safe for the employees, uses quality materials, and has little impact on the environment. Sure, a better sweater may cost a bit more than something you'll find in a box store, but with Patagonia, you know that the products are made to the highest standards. For me, knowing that information about my gear actually makes me proud to wear my Better Sweater jackets and ¼ zips. And that's a good feeling.
