Who doesn’t love a good paddling? I’m not sure if the traditional hazing practice counts as a paddlesport, but I know that stand-up paddle boarding and kayaking do so, that’s what I want to talk about.
Actually this just makes me want to talk about my favorite experience involving paddles. A group of friends and I went up north to get some proper use out of our kayaks and paddleboards. We drove for hours and hours and ended up at one of my friends uncle’s places, it was a house high up on a hill with a path that ran down to the beach. We had a great day doing some open water kayaking, I even got to try out my buddy’s paddle board. We were making our way back towards the house just as it was getting dark, we rounded into the inlet to find that our host had brought a projector out to the end of the pier and was using it to project a movie on the side of the cliff that the house was on top of. We all got to hang out in the water and watch a water-themed horror movie double feature. Definitely one of the coolest experiences of my life.
I can’t promise that you are going to have a similar experience when you are paddling, mostly because we don’t carry projectors. But I can tell you that you that we have all of the paddlesport supplies that you need to have a great time out on the water. There is something really awesome about being a traveller on a great body of water, it’s just you and nature communicating with each other… with a paddle.
