About the Chaco Z1 Sandal:
The Chaco Z1 is the sandal that started it all for Chaco. We're talking the original Chaco hiking sandal. What's better than something that's the original? Not much, that's what. The Chaco Z1 is available for men and women in a whole ton of pretty colors, and you can choose from two Vibram outsoles.
Chaco Z1 Sandals feature single-strap nylon webbing construction. Unlike some other Chacos, the Z1 does not have a toe loop. No toe loop means more toe and foot freedom, in case you like to pick things up with your toes or something. The strap is fully adjustable, so your Chacos fit perfectly over your toes, the top of your foot, and around your heel. Chaco Z1 sandals are quick and easy to readjust at any time.
So while we're talking about Chacos, let's talk about the Chaco footbed. Chacos feature an ergonomic footbed that Chaco calls the LUVSEAT. The LUVSEAT keeps your whole body properly aligned by stabilizing your arch to prevent overpronation. Chaco's sculpted heel cup provides rear foot stability and centers your foot's natural shock-absorbing pad right under your heel bone to maximize comfort. Chaco Z1 sandals feature Chaco's most stable ChaPU midsole profile, which is the most supportive midsole Chaco offers.
Finally, the Chaco Z1 sandal is available with two different outsoles. The Vibram Unaweep outsole, available as the Chaco Z1 Unaweep, provides superior traction and is a highly durable, making this the Chaco Z1 for more agressive terrains. The Vibram Yampa outsole is 20% lighter than other soles, making the Chaco Z1 Yampa the go-to sandal for longer, less agressive hikes or casual wear.
