Very light weight and that's what I was looking for. While I'm a big Asolo boot fan, this boot needs an insole as the included insole is an embarrassment to Asolo and complet…

I have been backpacking since 1975 and found the perfect boot for me 15 years ago, the Asolo 535. I then migrated to the Asolo 520 and Powermatic. I regret ever trending awa…

I did a 14-miler in them pretty much straight out of the box- couldn't be happier. There are a little on the heavy side, but otherwise like hiking on clouds. I found them to…

These boots are constructed really well... the materials are great and they seem to be holding together nicely! Only problem: the full-grain leather is more stiff than I like,…
- Heather, 09/22/10
A little stiff right out of the box, and would probably only suit someone with a slightly wide foot and toe box. Definitely runs slightly large. The build quality is excelle…

Hail to Asolo! Out of the box comfort...change the footbed though (as with all manufacturers). I think Asolo changed their last as I had to drop down a 1/2 size from the TPS52…

It's supposed to be a light boot, and it is, but the sole is so thin that you feel every rock and crack. Probably okay for well-maintained trails, but anything more would lik…

Asolo Hiking Boots
If you're looking for a super sturdy, supportive backpacking boot, look no further than Asolo Hiking Boots. That was my attempt at sounding like a salesman. Hopefully, some day I can write billboards. I think I'd be good at that. Seriously though, Asolo does make some super sweet backpacking boots.
Asolo partners with Vibram to create lug soled hiking boots that can tackle almost any type of terrain. Take the Power Matic sole, for example: the sole is comprised of three different PU densities for stability and shock-reduction, ultimately reducing fatigue. A dual-density molded rubber outsole, produced in conjunction with Vibram, uses a high-density rubber in the arch to maximize support, and features self-cleaning lugs for optimum performance.
Select Asolo hiking boots feature waterproof and breathable Gore-Tex membranes to keep your feet dry in a range of conditions. Gore-Tex Extended Comfort Footwear minimizes heat retention for high-activity pursuits and warm conditions, while Gore-Tex Performance Comfort Footwear provides moderate heat retention.
Check out the Asolo TPS 535 Boot. It's totally badass. Water resistant upper and a Cambrelle lining keep your feet comfortable, while the Triple Power Structure sole provides some serious stability on even the toughest terrain. If you want a Gore-Tex boot, check out the Asolo TPS 520 GV. Also a total badass, the TPS 520 GV has a Gore-Tex performance comfort footwear lining to keep your feet high and dry through just about anything.
