"Nice locking skewer - not what I needed" 10/08/08
I bought this locking skewer to update a Yakima Tandem Carrier (prior to Sidewinder) that my Dad gave to me. The skewer is similar (identical?) to the one used in the Copperhead fork mount, which I have used and like.I made the mistake of not reviewing my existing tandem carrier skewer before ordering this product. This skewer is 9mm, while my existing carrier required a 6mm. I returned this skewer and sprung for the new Sidewinder carrier, which I really appreciate.

So you buy a top of the line carbon fiber fancy pedaling machine that cost you a second morgage and you put it on your roofrack and go to the grociery store and when you come out, you're house has disappeared off your roof. Now if you went to Moosejaw and got yourself one of these get the SKS Locking Cores too your precious pedaling machine would still be one your roof. Highly recommended product from a trusted company name. Love this thing.
