"Interesting Experience with this product" 08/26/09
Long story short......bikes loaded on rear of car, driving on interstate, bike falls off rear of car, bike stolen off highway in the time it took for us to turn around to pick it up.Moral of story....called Yakima, complained about bike falling off on highway, mailed rack back to service department, Yakima ran tests to see if bike was loaded incorrectly or rack defective, check for total price of bike in my mailbox a few weeks later.Guess the bike rack was defective. But their customer service was fabulous. And now I use the replacement rack they sent me and have had no problems with it! All bikes have stayed in their place on the rear of car.

I am not really a fan of the super joe. It seems to always come loose and waggle around. This is disconcerting when you are watching your carbon fiber ride wave around in your rear view mirror. I wound up getting rid of it and getting a saris bones. It stays tight and doesn't rough up the trunk lid the way the joe does with its foam pads.
"Great Rack for the buck!" 07/29/07
Does it's job like its supposed to, although holding three adult male bikes was a bit much for this guy but normally it will be carrying my girlfriends bikes so its perfect for her...It was a little tricky installing and getting the bikes to fit the first time but heck, I guess thats what the directions are for so I suggest you read them like we didn't!
