"Not worth the exorbitant price" 10/05/07

To my dismay on of the four the boom tray ratchets broke the moment I put my tandem into the rack! They're plastic! I put no unusual force on it either, these things should be made of metal if they're the only thing preventing 80% of the bike from slopping off the roof rack. Yakima said it probably got damaged in shipping and normally isn't so whimpy. The design could be the best available for tandems but without steel ratchet security I simply have no confidence in this item. Thank you Moosejaw, for not hesitating to refund my full purchase amount.

"Great product, great service" 09/14/06

The Yakima SideWinder is great and it is much cheaper than in Canada! The delivery was very fast as well.<BR><BR>Easy to install and easy to use. I can load my Burley tandem on my own. My wife just participate in riding the bike.<BR><BR>Tom
