Moose jaw forgot include the landing pads for the qtowers. I thought they would come with the towers but they should be in the box with the clips. I called Yakima and they overnighted me some no charge! Great company!

These clips grab on to your doors and do not let go. This is an extremely secure system that Yakima has created and I would highly recommend it. Just make sure you do some research and buy the right clips (there are quite a few for the many car models!)

The Q clips seem like they wouldn't do a whole lot, but when combined with the Q towers they really keep the whole rack secure to the car. Expect it to take some time to install everything on the rack. Additionally, I found that the door seal on my car ('02 camry) didn't work perfectly after I installed the Q clips, but that issue seems to have sorted itself out. Im not sure if it was operator error or an actual problem with the clips.
These things are very easy to install and use. Actually kind of disturbing how easy...get locks. The guide is easy to follow for those of you who will read it. I only have one qualm, the color. Why not make these black? It's just sort of an eyesore. (Maybe it’s for UV deterioration?) Also, don't be expecting much in terms of personal satisfaction. I can honestly say it was and will be the most I ever pay for some steel scraps and fancy silicone, but they do exactly what they're supposed to. I'm giving them a 4 because of the clear silicone, but more because they just plain cost too much. (Not Moosejaw's fault btw....they had the cheapest on the net at 31.50.)
We purchased this for our Toyota Matrix, 2006, bare roof car to take luggage from KY to MD for a cruise. We used it to tie a soft luggage bag to and it stored 2 large suitcases and a few pairs of shoes. We traveled interstate and through moderate rain one day for 10 hours. The racks held in place just fine. We parked the car at hotel during the trip (with the locks installed on the racks) and when we returned, the racks were still on car, untampered. Needless to say all went well and as planned. We don't use them unless we are needing them for trips as they generate noise, but the two other times we've used them for 4 hour+ trips they have yet to fail through wind gusts or rain.

If you want to have a great rack system buy a yakima system.If you buy it from Moose Jaw you get the reward points. Nobody discounts yakima gear. This is as good as it gets.I have had my system for 10 years now and it has been flawless the entire time. Now I am moving it to my wife's CRV and these pads are all I need for a perfect fit. It is amazing how well this thing grips my wife's car. She will not get it off without the keys. : )

If you want to have a great rack system buy a yakima system.I have had my system for 10 years now and it has been flawless the entire time. Now I am moving it to my GMC pick up truck and these pads are all I need for a perfect fit. It is amazing how well this thing grips my truck.
These things grab the side of my car and don't let go. At first I was kind of afraid the rack would fall off when I read how it attached. But after installation I have no fear.
