"Necessary component, could be better" 06/11/07
Landing Pad 8 fits my 2003 Honda CR-V, but there is a little bit of wiggle room around the edge. This is a necessary component of the Yakima Roof Rack system for the CR-V, so I was hoping that it would be a more secure fit. The pad is hard plastic and the grommet is a soft plastic rubber or silicon?. I would have much preferred a reinforced metal pad so that the control tower had a secure connection to the car's frame, but this seems adequate given the load limits on the CR-V.
