"Quick and easy transport system" 11/29/11
I have had these for a couple of years now. They have worked well for my 8' creek boat, 9.5' recreational kayak, and for my 12' sit on top kayak. It is just a good and easy transport system for whatever kind of kayak you have. I have never had any problems with stability or structural integrity even when using it to hold more than it was designed to do.

"Stable, durable, works." 07/09/11
I've used the Hullraiser for a few years now... including in-town jaunts and several cross-country trips. They're still going strong and have never had a problem with them. The only downsides: not the easiest for tall vehicles (I tried them on a tall SUV once and had to stand on a step stool to lift my boat that high) and a they can be a little tricky if you're small and not very strong (if this is the case, you might consider purchasing a lift assist device or a system that has rollers to assist the process). The foam padding is nice and I feel like it helps grip my kayak. Would be nice if they folded down, but not a big deal on smaller vehicles.
"These kayak hull raisers are the best!" 04/06/11
These Kayak racks are the best out there as far as we are concerned. WE tried some cheaperones and we ended up having to bugee kayak to the rack over and above the tie downs that came with the racks. Also...we had to FUDGE the cheaper brand to fit the top of my SUV. These hullraisers fit MOST car/truck roof racks and are easy to install and for all purposes intended are AWESOME! Great to use with the Wet Cloth to slide kayak unto top of car/SUV as well.
"Very secure" 12/17/10
The Hullraiser does its job. I have not had any problems with this product and my kayak is fastened down very secure on every trip. I have not taken it on any long trips but I do not foresee any problems based on how well it rides on short trips. It fits nice on my square tubing roof rack.
"Worth getting" 11/12/10
I have two pair of these that I haul my two 12 foot kayaks. I have had these for about about 3 years and go about 12 times a year. I usually only travel about an hour each way and have never had any problems with the kayaks not staying on. They are easy to load, unload and strap down. I would have gotten a pair where the kayak sits flat but with the car I have and the space needed to do that, it just was not possible to get two kayaks on my car. If you are driving on a windy day and come across a cross breeze you can feel it a bit in the car because they stick up a bit high.
"Safe and Secure" 07/23/10
The Hullraiser holds my 13' kayak securely to the roof of my car. I am confident that when I am driving down the highway I don't have to look in the rearview mirror for my boat. Only down side is when the boat is not on the car, the rack doesn't fold down so the rack looks kind of lonely.
