"Sweet rack, bit expensive but worth it" 09/27/11
I got this rack for my husband recently. Super easy to set up initially. I drive a 2010 Subaru Forester and it's a bit tricky throwing his 29er on top, probably would help if you used a little step stool or something. Holds the bike in place well, used it a couple of time so far driving 60+ and although it wobbles a bit there's no chance it's coming out. More expensive than the other racks but it's high quality and there's no chance we'll have our bikes flying out of this rack.
"Your bike will say in place." 03/14/11
I bought the HighRoller to put on my 2005 Civic. I had to get a rack that you could leave the front wheel on. Because I ride a Cannondale Scalpel with a Lefty front shock and can not take the front wheel on and off easily. I have had it on my car for a year now and it works great. Never have had a problem with the bike coming loose or moving during transportation. I even forgot to take the bike off before I pulled into the garage one day. The bike stayed attached to the mount, even if the roof rack didn't say attached to the car. P.S. Take the bike off before you pull into your garage.
"Best Bike Mount Ever!!!" 07/09/10
I sold my Yakima SprocketRocket to get the HighRoller. Love the fact that I do not have to remove the front wheel to put my bike on the rack. Quick removal to hit the trails even faster. Yakima is the only way to go, & that's how I High Roll...
"Yakama High Roller Bike rack Quick installation, Easy to use, Looks Great," 10/31/09
For a Custom fit in the 51" x 67" bed of a Dodge RAM1500 Crew cab. The key to hauling 4 mountain bikes is to alternate the High Rollers forward & back to accomodate for the peddles and handle bars. This only leaves a tight 9-10" between Bike Racks, but it works. Start with Yakama 60" tracks MJSKU# 152161 mounted to a 2x4 frame in the bed of the truck. Mount the tracks by drilling 1/4" holes through the 1 1/2" 2x4, then turn them over and back drill a 1 1/2" hole 1" deep to recess the plastic track nuts that screw onto the 1" factory screws provided. See Contol Tower review foir the rest.
"The Yakama High Roller Bike Rack is possibly the best on the market. Great product. Great service." 10/15/09
I ordered 2 Yakama High Roller Bike Racks on 10-12-09 and received them on 10-15-09. WOW! Is that service or what? Rawberry was also extreemely helpfull in the order process. Rawberry Rocks! The High Roller is the best roof rack mount bike carrier on the market, bar none. It's easy to set up, easy to use and is solid and secure. I will be doing a custom Dodge RAM1500 Crew Cab with RAM tool side boxes Truck bed installation utilizing 60" Yakama tracks, Rail rider 3 control towers, sks lock cores and Yakama 48" cross bars. this should prove to be a great way to secure and haul 4 Kona DAWG Deluxe Mountain bikes. Happy trails to all.
