"Great, affordable bike carrying system." 09/17/11
The Copperhead product from Yakima offers a more-affordable solution to carrying bicycles. This system is without some of the bells and whistles of the more costly Yakima products, but they are a solid product that won't stop performing.

As the least expensive model Yakima produces, you know the Copperhead won't have all the bells and whistles. But it is a solid tray that performs equally as well as more expensive models when carrying a bike. The downside: a little more time consuming to take the tray on and off the rack. Loosening three allen-headed screws can be a bit more cumbersome than the normal head tightening nut and bolt system. But, if your not taking the tray on and off the roof often, or your not worried about a couple extra minutes, the Copperhead is a fine tray and an excellent value.
"Great bike carrier that won't break the bank!" 07/11/11
The Yakima Copperhead is a classic bike carrier that won't require you to sell a kidney. It looks great and fits perfectly on my Yakima load bars. You have to remove the front tire to carry your bikes but I have always found that this is the most secure way to carry bikes. (No swaying or loosening.) The optional lock cores are great for security and piece of mind. Grab one an hit the trails!
"Everything you need in a bike mount." 12/28/10
These are where it's at; basic, no frills, but they work. I've had these on top of my car for around three years now. They really haven't let me down at all, besides the fact that the skewers have started to rust. It doesn't look terribly pretty, but it doesn't affect functionality, so I won't complain too much. If you're on a budget, don't worry, these work really well!
