These turned out to be unnecessary. The Yakima Hold Up secures the bikes better than I had hoped.

"Moosejaw saves my bike and my life!" 11/02/06

Besides the fact that these things are easy to lose (my fault, not theirs) these straps are the perfect solution to keeping my bike tightly secured to the back of my car! Thanks so much!
