"Typical Yakima Quality" 09/04/10
I bought this rack to replace a 17 year old 2 bike yakima rack (family is larger now). This rack has a lot of nice features compared to my old rack (really like the anti-sway cradles). This thing is HEAVY DUTY. As usual, great Yakima quality.
"Secure Rack...wish it folded down!?!?!" 10/15/09
This rack is great for what I use it for. I do a lot of mountain biking and travel on tough roads to get there and it holds the bikes fine! The only problem I have with is that it doesn't fold down. Unless you are going to keep using it day in and day out...or on a long trip this is probably not a rack you will leave on the back of your car constantly. It is just really bulky and sticks out, because it won't fold down! OVERALL, Still a great rack!
"great solid rack" 02/16/09
this is down right the best hitch rack i have ever seen! first off it locks in the receiver very tight and snug with their bolt in style holding it tight (just need to keep a 7/8 wrench in the truck of somewhere). and i can mount 4 bikes on it without them rubbing and scraping each other.
"Wear your skid-lid when near it just in case, it may bite back." 05/08/07
It's mean, tough and takes a bashing. Could've been designed by John Wayne it's that good. Plus it's so menacing it keeps those bumper-kissing drivers at 12 feet, even more with a quick flick of brake light. Plus the main bar is wide enough to take my MooseJaw sticker.
"one thumb up?" 05/05/06
Good bang for the buck. Only problem is my family all have to own bikes with goofy style frames, grr.......so ya have to get the top tube adapter for some of them. From now on everyone gets traditional framed mens bikes (including the girls) and it'll work like a champ. Overall a good product as usual from Yakima.
