The YETI Tundra 45 Cooler is a tough cooler for keeping your food and drink at a properly chilled temperature. Pile in cans of beer, soda, or sparkling water and you can still fit plenty of ice so every single one you pull out is just as cold as the one previous. The ridiculously durable rotomolded construction can be beat up on, tossed around, even given to a bear and still remain intact. Maybe just be slightly careful while opening those cans, never know when the fizzies will explode. Durable haul handles allow you to carry it by yourself, or grab your little bro and make him hang onto the other handle all the way down the docks to your skiff. The No Sweat™ design ensures the wet stuff says on the inside and the Bearfoot™ non-slip feet ensures that cooler will stay right where you placed it, instead of flying across the dock, boat, or truck. If you do have to strap it down, there are places for that on the two short sides, so you can drive that boat like hell if you want.

YETI Neverfail ™ Hinge System
The Neverfail ™ Hinge System means your YETI comes with an interlocking design, which uses rustproof aluminnum, full-length rods that connect your lid to the body - because not everyone wants to party with their top off. Plus, each hinge is molded with stops to prevent it from ever breaking.
YETI Fatwall Design YETI Fatwall Design infuses YETI’s PermaFrost technology into their thick cooler walls and offers up to two inches of ice retention, which equates to superior insulation. This isn’t your mom’s styrofoam cooler, which means it can handle dry ice’s -109F temperatures.
YETI T-Rex ™ Lid Latches
T-Rex ™ Lid Latches don’t stick out, fall off or break. Who wants to realize their latch is broken when they’ve just settled in to fish for the afternoon? Nobody, especially you. Complete with a weather-resistant rubber and a ball-and-socket system, this minimalist design goes beyond just keeping your lid in place. Designed for two-finger grip, nothing can get passed this latching system.
YETI Roto-Molded Construction
YETI’s Roto-Molded Construction, means one seamless piece of polyethylene you can do just about anything to - from standing to punching. The non-skid lid texture means your feet won’t slip when it’s your turn to karaoke.
YETI Coldlock Gasket YETI Coldlock Gasket seals in the cold and combats heat, by using freezer-quality gasket circles. This means YETI goes beyond closing, sealing up your frosty mugs for hours. A molded-in channel creates a home for the EPDM rubber gasket and is pressed against the body of the cooler to decrease air exchange and lock in the coolness.

Amazing ProductThis past weekend was the maiden voyage of our Yeti cooler. Not only is it tough but it is easy to carry around even when loaded down with ice. We brought several coolers with us on our trip for craft beer and the Yeti was the only cooler that did not need any ice put in it everyday. In fact, it is still sitting in my dining room full of ice and beer from this weekend. I was surprised how much we fit in the 45. We loaded it down with larger beer cans and were able to fit a great deal in it as shown in the photo. Also, I used Yeti Ice to initially cool the cooler down before putting beer in it and it worked like a charm. If you bring back the pink coolers again, I will be buying another. Love all of my Yeti products!!

Not sure yetI wanted two things in a cooler: 1) durability 2) ice retention. My experience suggests the Yeti 45L Tundra delivers very well on desire #1 and average on desire #2. I keep my Yeti in an air-conditioned room, add ice cold drinks and fill with ice. I get about 24-36 hours of ice retention INDOORS when opening about 2 times per day. My Yeti had a warped lid (which did not appear to affect the seal integrity at all), so we will see how the replacement performs. The customer service was very good when I needed the replacement. I will re-rate after trying the new cooler.

Superior cooler!I just wish this had been available 40 years ago, because I'm 63 and it's obviously going to outlive me. Examples of its capabilities: armed only with a single gas-station bag of ice and not pre-chilled, it kept my food cold in the back of my truck for two days in the desert near Death Valley where the daytime temp was 118F. In less extreme heat, that bag of ice can last up to a week. It's a bit of a splurge but when you consider all the ice you don't have to buy and the food that isn't spoiled, it will eventually pay for itself. I now use it instead of a fridge in my truck camper, because it sits there silently cooling vs. using power and going "thrum" in the night. It also makes a good seat, and I use it to step up to my over-cabin bed.

2016 Ford Explorer Owners - This is a PERFECT FITJust a quick note.
Bought a brand new 2016 Explorer - which has a deep well behind the 3rd seat. The Roadie fits, sure. But I thought I could ramp up, so I tried a 35. Fits. (Strosniders in Bethesda, MD let me take Tundras out to the parking lot to test the fit. They're awesome.) Then, tried my 50. Fits - but you cannot open the lid with the cooler in the well.
So just for laughs, tried the 45. OH man - it is PERFECT. Like it's made for the Explorer. Fits, opens, everything.

Does what is saysI bought this cooler for a cooking competition half way across the country to shuttle my precious ingredients on the plane. The airline lost my luggage and my cooler ended up in another state. I was told that they would send it out on the next plane and that was 9 hours later. Upon picking up my cooler, 9 hours later at the airport I began to open the cooler and found all my product was perfectly fine. The ice packs that I had in there had not melted at all. It was like I just put them in. Needless to say I had allot of time and money invested in this competition and it all could have been lost if not for the excellent performance of my Yeti 45. Thank you.

I think my Yeti is faulty.....My kids bought the Tunder 45 for me for Christmas, I was very fired up to say the least. But I have now used it 4 times and I'm seriously disappointed on how long it holds ice!!!!! I most certainly though the ice would last a heck of a lot longer. I'm not seeing much difference weather the temperature is in the 60's, 70's or 80's. I the evening put a 7 pound bag of ice over top of cold beer, cold pop and cold water and most all of the ice was melted by 9am the next morning and cooler was NEVER opened..... I have 15 different coolers In my garage that can provide me the same results at a fraction of the cost. Maybe I have a faulty cooler!!! Who do I talk to?
On a side note. I own other Yeti products and I have had wonderful results with them!!!!

Tougher than toughHave not had the opportunity to use it yet due to the weather. I can say that in terms of the quality of the product it will last a life time. I am more than pleased with this and anticipate making this a 5 star rating as get to use it in my boat. I am a Fly fishing guide and this cooler will have to tough and keep food and drinks cold for 10 to 12 hours while sitting in my drift boat in the hot sun. The way that this cooler is constructed I expect to be thoroughly pleased. This cooler also fits perfectly in front of my feet/rowers seat of my Adipose. Thanks Yetti for producing a quality product

The greatest weekend coolerFrom a fraternity retreat to a bowl game tailgate, campouts, times by the pool, or road trips... this cooler has been through some good times. It is wonderfully sized to fit all the beer you and your buddies need or maybe all the beer and food the owner and a friend may need for a weekend trip (using a YETI divider).
Overall, the Tundra 45 was a good purchase for my usage... I would, however, recommend a Tundra 50 or 65 for those that are trying to use your Tundra as a multi-purpose AND multi-person storage device.
All in all, it's the best cooler you could have for a long weekend camping, hunting, or fishing trip.
