The YETI Tundra 160 Cooler is a insanely big cooler, to the point on the spectrum where you're able to carry 159 pounds of ice. Toss this puppy on the deck of your boat and set off for a day of fishing. Store your catch inside and it'll stay fresh until you make it back to the docks, where it's time to filet 'em up for dinner. Or maye you should throw a party, because with a 2:1 ice to beer ratio, you can load 'er up with 100 cans of beer. With 2-3 inches of Permafrost™ insulation, it keeps ice as cold as science allows and it won't sweat, so no puddles of water will be found upon your deck. When the drinks are gone and it's time to clean up, open the Vortex™ drain system so all that melted ice has a place to escape, without you having to tip the whole thing over.

YETI Fatwall Design YETI Fatwall Design infuses YETI’s PermaFrost technology into their thick cooler walls and offers up to two inches of ice retention, which equates to superior insulation. This isn’t your mom’s styrofoam cooler, which means it can handle dry ice’s -109F temperatures.
YETI T-Rex ™ Lid Latches
T-Rex ™ Lid Latches don’t stick out, fall off or break. Who wants to realize their latch is broken when they’ve just settled in to fish for the afternoon? Nobody, especially you. Complete with a weather-resistant rubber and a ball-and-socket system, this minimalist design goes beyond just keeping your lid in place. Designed for two-finger grip, nothing can get passed this latching system.
YETI Roto-Molded Construction
YETI’s Roto-Molded Construction, means one seamless piece of polyethylene you can do just about anything to - from standing to punching. The non-skid lid texture means your feet won’t slip when it’s your turn to karaoke.
YETI Neverfail ™ Hinge System
The Neverfail ™ Hinge System means your YETI comes with an interlocking design, which uses rustproof aluminnum, full-length rods that connect your lid to the body - because not everyone wants to party with their top off. Plus, each hinge is molded with stops to prevent it from ever breaking.
YETI Coldlock Gasket YETI Coldlock Gasket seals in the cold and combats heat, by using freezer-quality gasket circles. This means YETI goes beyond closing, sealing up your frosty mugs for hours. A molded-in channel creates a home for the EPDM rubber gasket and is pressed against the body of the cooler to decrease air exchange and lock in the coolness.

Works great hot and cold! This is a favorite of The Hog Whisperers championship BBQ team. I recently cooked in and won a competition/festival where I cooked 90 racks of baby backs ribs. This large quantity of ribs requires that I half cook several racks the day before. The Tundra 160 not only keeps the ribs safely warm over night, but the large size held 45 racks! This is key for my team to finish the cooking process the day of a festival. Not to mention the Tundra 65 and Roadie we use for cold beverages during those long smokes. The proof is in the hardware. Back to Back to Back East Tennessee rib champs! Thanks Yeti!

Frat-ProofI bought two of these for my fraternity to enhance our functions such as tailgates and parties. They have performed better than I could ever imagine. Aside from the fact that they keep beer and drinks colder than I have ever even imagined for about a week straight, they are absolutely indestructible. These things have been stomped on for hours as stages, thrown off of 25+ foot balconies, and have weathered anything else we can possibly imagine to throw at it perfectly. There is not a scratch on either of them. They are the first thing that I have ever seen that I can confidently say are "frat-proof." Buy a YETI cooler. You will not be disappointed

Food saver and Learning tool!!Love this thing! I bought this in place of using a Frig. For my sprinter van conversion. The size of it allows to it hold all we need as well as serving as other great tools. (Bench and a Map for my kids)
I got the idea of drawing a map of the USA on it so that when we visit the states we can mark them off and also use it for distances and to learn the states locations. We haven't even left on our first trip with it yet and they have already started to learn.
Thanks for the amazing Cooler!!!

Worth every penny. After having purchased both sizes of ramblers and the 40 bag I asked for a 160 as an early birthday present in preparation for a 3 day music festival. I took the online advice of using large sizes of ice and packed the yeti with three frozen gallon jugs as well as 3 cases of beverages and 3 large bags of ice. The temps were near 80 each day and even after opening the yeti close to 100 times each day when I returned home on the 4th day the yeti was still filled with plenty of ice. Two days later there is still a significant amount of ice left and the water is icy cold. I would recommend the 160 to anyone.

Skylar in MO from
Plenty of Room for Late Night, Off the Grid MovingI gifted this to my friend Dexter in Miami. He owns a boat and needed a good way to keep his "prey" on ice as he transported it to the old reliable gulf stream. He told me it is roomy enough for 2, and Harry would have approved!

Yeti Spotted In Nor-CalI received the Yeti 160 as a gift from my wife after the birth of our son. The first time I used the cooler was for a 6 day camping trip in the Sierra Nevada and the cooler far exceeded my expectations. On the trip to our destination the cooler was in direct sunlight on a 105 degree day in an uncovered trailer for over 4 hours. The remainder of the trip we were at a campground at around 4000 ft. where the day time highs were in the 90's and the overnight lows were in the 60's. To make a long story short after 12 days I still had 6 or 7 half melted 10lbs blocks of ice left. How I packed my cooler was as follows. A week before my trip I purchased 80 lbs of loose ice and 8-10lb blocks and stored them in my chest freezer @ 20 below zero. Also at the same time I pre-chilled beer, sodas, water and froze any meat that was going as well. I left my Yeti in the house for a few days in the air conditioning to ensure it was at room temperature and not overheated from the 100+ degree temperatures outside. Then two days before I had to pack the coolers I placed 40 lbs of ice in the cooler to pre-chill it. I then disposed of that ice when I packed the cooler. I packed the cooler by placing 4-4lb Yeti Ice and 2-1lb Yeti ice at the bottom and I put 10 lbs of dry ice in the spaces. Then I put 6 or 7 (I can't remember) 10lb blocks of ice on top of the Yeti Ice. Then added all of the pre-chilled food and frozen meat. After that I filled in all the gaps with around 40 lbs of loose ice. The ice took up alot of space but the cooler is so big it didn't matter. We had food and drinks for 6 people for 6 days. (Yeti 75 was full of beer also) As the days went by the non Yeti coolers ran out of ice and we starting moving items from those coolers into my 160. I had the cooler in the shade the whole time under my pop up and was opened and used a lot each day. After we returned from our trip the cooler was left in the 120 + degree garage for another 6 days full of drinks and ice. When I emptied the cooler on day 12 there was still plenty of ice, cold water and frosty drinks.

YETI Tundra 160 - Very Versatile Cooler/Ice ChestAfter years of dissatisfaction with other lower quality ice chests I finally decided to take the plunge and purchase a YETI. The top three failure areas I think we all can agree on with lower quality coolers/ice chests are #1 The drain plug, #2 The locking mechanism, #3 The lid hinge, pretty much in that order. Of the top quality coolers/ice chests I was impressed most by the YETI drain plug construction. Once I received my Tundra 160 I was pleasantly surprised to find that not only did it have one well constructed drain plug, but TWO well constructed drain plugs, one on either end! I'm very happy about this. I like how quiet and secure the T-Rex Lid Latches are and how easy it was for me to reverse them to streamline the coolers profile. If there ever comes a time that I would need to change out the lid latches I feel that task will be unbelievably simple. The lid hinge, built like a tank!!! The final deciding factor that sealed the deal were the dividers. At the time of this review the Tundra 160 is the largest cooler/ice chest with the long and short dividers available. EXCELLENT feature!!! Divide the cooler/ice chest in half side to side with the short divider or the 40/60 (approximately) division front to back respectively with the long divider. The features and sound construction of this cooler/ice chest far exceeded any cooler/ice chest I've ever owned!!! I should not have waited this long to purchase my YETI cooler/ice chest!!!! (I would like to add a note for those planning on mounting the YETI bottle opener on the inside of the lid. Be mindful to mount the opener in such a way that it will clear both the wire basket and the long divider.)

Best cooler on the market!!!I got the 160 yeti for fishing and love it . . It's durable and has stood up to everything I've thrown at it! I filled it to the top just to see how long ice would last an on the 11th day I still had Ice and water in the bottom of my yeti. I couldn't believe it but it held ice better than any other box I have ever seen.
