DisappointedI won a Roadie through work. The cooler has not lived up to my expectations at all. I would not recommend spending this kind of money on a cooler.
I bought a decent chunk of dry ice and a ten pound bag of ice to keep 18 cans cold the first week I bought it. That is really the only time that it has performed as advertised. I had ice for four days.
If I used just a ten pound bag of ice, I'm stuck with a cooler full of water within 36 hours max, no matter what I do. Inside air conditioning, out in the sun... Ice retention is not good with this cooler.
It's a shame because I always get compliments and questions about the cooler, but I just couldn't recommend it to anyone.

Beats most coolers for sureI am not trying to leave a cooler full of ice for week while I hike and come back to find it. What's the point? I live at the beach and just wanted something that held up in 110 heat index. That said, it beats every other cooler I have tried but it is not a miracle worker - if you are opening it to get drinks. What I have found to make it work top shelf is to put a freezer pack in before loading for a while to cool it down. I have left beers in it with ice in my garage (18) and rest ice and checked on it by opening only 2 or 3 times and it did last for a couple days. If you plan to to open and close it during the day while in use you may disappointed ice will in fact melt but it will do so at a way slower rate!

Doc Todd from
Love the sizeI have Tundra 45 and just recently got a Roadie 20 for father's day. Excellent results with the 45 and have used the Roadie two times thus far. I feel like the ice melted faster and did not last as long as the larger 45. I feel I didn't use enough ice, beverage ratio, etc. who knows, but overall love the size, easy carrying handle that can be removed, and can't wait to try this 4th of July. I will send more feedback after I use it more and hopefully the ice issue will be better like the 45. I can fit 12 cans of beer, bag ice and 6 waters at same time. Perfect amount for my tailgating, soccer games and daily fishing trips.

Can take the elementsMy son and I found a Yeti Roadie 20 that had been abandoned by his next door neighbor. It had been out with the top open in Texas summer sun, below freezing temperatures with snow and ice along with rain, hail, you name it for at least 2 years! The inside had rust stains from beer cans, dirt, what looked like some mold and the outside was caked with dirt, rust stains and grime. I took it home and first used a solution of Simple Green with ammonia on it. I rinsed it and treated the inside with a mild chlorine bleach solution and rinsed, again. It turned out beautiful and holds the cold as if it was new. I would recommend this little baby to anyone!

Perfect sizeRecently got acquainted with Yeti with the Rambler series. So impressed, I was compelled to pick up a cooler and after a little looking around, the Roadie won me over. The size and capacity make it appropriate for just about any occasion (bbqs, road trips, lounging in the back yard, whatever), it fits perfectly in the car or truck and thanks to the handle, it can be carried one-handed. Rock solid, does its job effortlessly (I can actually fit an 18 pack, bag of ice with room to spare) also functions well as a seat or ottoman. Very satisfied.

Worth the CostWe own the 35, 65 and the Roadie Coolers. We love them. We have owned many other coolers in the past especially with living on the lake plus camping but none compare to the Yeti. We camp extensively and in the heat everything stays cold and the ice can last up to a week. We keep one in the trunk when shopping and traveling at all times. Never have to hurry home after grocery shopping. I can buy groceries at lunch and they stay cool until I get home after work. GREAT COOLERS!!

Built like an arctic brick outhousePeople always tell me my cooler is expensive. They're right, but worth every penny. I haven't met anyone who doesn't remark at the quality construction of this thing. Example on how insulated it is...I left the cooler in my locked truck with 12 delicious brews and a 1/2 gallon jug if frozen solid ice. They sat in the truck in Bend OR heat and sunshine for 3 days and nights. Imagine my co-pilots surprise when the roadies were still cold after those 3 days of trout fishing.

Great CoolerI purchased the Roadie 20 about 6 weeks ago and it has been everything I hoping and dreaming for. Yes, Yeti's are rather expensive, I was back and forth on which one to get and if I should even spend so much money on a cooler but it been worth it thus far. This is by far the best cooler I have ever used, you can tell the quality as soon as you open the box. On top of that, you don't have to worry about breaking the handle off or cracking it.
The only down fall to Yeti is they are so darn heavy. Roughly 17 lbs empty, which will give you a nice little workout after loading it up with beer and ice.
Already trying to decide which Yeti I am going to get next!!
