Fantastic made in USA alpine climbing jacketGreat jacket for alpine climbing. I use it as an uber warm mid layer under my shell or as a stand alone with a solid base layer underneath if its above 10 degrees or so. The epic outer is fantastic, light and breathable, water resistant. Not waterproof, that's what a shell is for. The stretchy wind pro fleece panels on the sides offer mobility and more breath ability exactly where u need it. ,,As for the cons on from jackitch,,Not great as a ski jacket--- not designed to be one, the WT belay jacket could fit that bill though,,Not enough pockets for your gadgets? I'm sure cabelas or dicks sporting goods has a china made POS that has lots of pockets

Reminiscent of the ubiquitous Patagonia and knock-off staple of days gone byWhim. Looked great and the ability to customize was all too compelling. The Primaloft One, was toasty for daily use with or without layering. The construction is good. Here comes the BUT... As an every day jacket, Great! As a ski jacket not so much. The wind finds its way through this jacket - without pit zips. Not enough pockets to fit my gadgets - external side pockets too small to carry my gloves and placement of the zippers creates unflattering bowing out if open. The cuffs are comfortable, easy on, easy off without cumbersome velcro adjustments - convenient but velcro albeit a nusience.. All-in-all a nice around town, hiking. For skiing, I went out and just bought another Arcteryx.

Best jacket and it's made in USA. One of the other reviewers indicated it may be a Patagonia or Arctyrex knock off. Maybe it's Patagonia or Arctyrex knocking off the real deal? I've been using Wild Things gear for more than twenty years. I still use a day pack from wild things that is 20 years old. If your unfamiliar with there products go to there website. They've evolved from making equipment for expeditions and climbers to mostly military. Too bad for us civilians but the spec ops guys are getting great, durable stuff. Probably the most reliable military issued gear anywhere.

Robust, custom and warm.I was turned onto this jacket before my last trip to Afghanistan. I was looking for a compressible lightweight but extremely warm jacket. I like the fact that it is completely customizable and I built mine in the Multi Cam fabric. ,,,,I chose the highest fill weight so that it would be super warm in the mountains at night while pulling watch. It has not failed me even in the harshest cold conditions. ,,,,The fabric is very robust and abrasion resistant which is important to me, nothing is worse than tearing a jacket on a rock and having your fill exposed. The shell is water resistant and I have worn it in light rain. Because the fill is synthetic it retained its thermal quality well. ,,,,I honestly like this better than my comparable Arcteryx jacket. I feel that the build quality is exceptional and the price is much easier to pay. ,,,,
