The Western Mountaineering UltraLite 20 Degree Sleeping Bag is a three season sleeping bag perfect for a summer bike tour or fall hike through the mountains. The UltraLite is pumped with 16 oz of high lofting down to bring this sleeping bag to a 5 inch loft and can withstand temperatures as low as 20 degrees Fahrenheit. Western Mountaineering uses a full down collar to help keep body heat inside, and the full-length YKK zipper means no gaps for cold air to slip in. The 5 ¼ inch spacing and continuous baffles helps to make the UltraLite 20 Degree sleeping bag extremely compressible, and your pack won't be weighed down with a total weight of only 1 lb, 13 oz. The Western Mountaineering Ultralite 20 Degree Sleeping Bag is the perfect choice for lightweight hiking and biking when cold weather nights are a definite possibility. Bonus Feature? All Western Mountaineering sleeping bags are made right here in the USA.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Versatile I have used this bag everywhere from the Sierra High Route to stealth camping along highways, and in temperatures ranging from 15 to 75. Two people can benefit from its warmth by doubling it with a thinner bag on the bottom and zipping the two together. This method also allows you to get intimate with your partner, even if it's your bearded best bud. It's not the warmest at 20 degrees, but extra clothes go a long way. The best thing about this bag, being that it's down, is that it breathes so well that I never get hot in it. It's just as comfortable during chilly nights in high elevations as it is on summer nights on the beach.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing sleeping bag! The Western Mountaineering UltraLite 20 degree down sleeping bag is one of the best available. The bag is very breathable (but still water repelling) and warms you up as soon as you get in (and truly maintains the temperature rating given to the bag).,,,,Not only is the bag super lightweight, but it also compresses to nothing. While the bag comes with a stuff sack, I use the Sea to Summit eVent XS (6L) compression sack, bag's compressed size is 6" x 7" (reg. bag).,,,,Do not let the price of this sleeping bag fool you. For the quality that you get, it is worth every cent. The down is of the highest quality, the sleeping bag is warm, lightweight, durable, and compact... what more can one ask for?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unzips nicely, and feels great to the touch. Packs small, unzips nicely, and feels great to the touch. The collar blocks the air exchange as advertised and is comfortable and unobtrusive. The 6 ft model is plenty long enough for my 5-9 frame. It does tend to follow my body as I roll side to side, so the lesser insulated bottom is exposed. It has not been an issue yet. My WE Ultralite hasn't been tested yet at its rated temperature, but I'm confident carrying it. I generally sleep in a t-shirt and shorts and have only been able to zip it up once this season when it was in the upper 20's. I use an insulated BA brand pad. My old 20 degree bag has been banished to the basement storage as I move toward a lighter and more efficient backpack.. And I'm not looking back...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really light and true to its rating I've used this bag down to about 20 degrees and it was true to its rating when you shift most of the down to the top of the bag. The zipper hardly snags and there is minimal loss of loft even with moderate condensation on the bag. It weighed exactly what the spec says so its nice that Western Mountaineering doesn't fudge a few oz of "manufacturing variability".

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Holy wa! Buy once, cry once! This thing is awesome! I am about 5'7" and 170 pounds and the 6' bag fits great. My chest size is 42", i don't really compress any of the baffles on the side or the top. I was told that it may be a bit slim for me, but after trying it, I am comfortable with it. This bag is beyond light and super warm. I wasn't a big fan of the stuff sack it came with, but that was easily remedied by picking up a 10L stuff sack, I feel as though I could go smaller, but didn't want to squeeze the crap out of the feathers and loose some loft. The bag also comes with a storage bag to allow the bag to stay lofty and not compressed at all. Overall, I would definatley recommend this bag and can solidly say that this will probably be the last bag I buy for anything over 15 degrees(i know it is a 20 degree bag, but Im pretty sure it'll do well down to at least 10, but i make sure to take up any dead space with clothing for the next day to keep it warm). Cheers!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An awesome, low-mass bag with only ONE small caveat. To make a bag with such an amazing warmth-to-weight ratio, there had to be compromises, and in this case, it's the durability of the shell and liner fabrics.,,,,If you consciously take good care of it, this bag will last for years. But don't plan on cowboy camping with it, and DO NOT use it without a ground sheet. Be mindful of any hardware on your clothing when you get in, and be careful when zipping it up. Be aware of any sharp objects in your pack that might snag the fabric while you're on the move, too.,,,,Bottom line: this excellent bag works well for most people, but if you're clumsy, careless, or an idiot, you should probably buy something sturdier (like the excellent Marmot Helium).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unparalleled Hands down, best ultralight bag on the market. Spent 9 months in Afghanistan living out of one pack, and at 1lbs 13oz this compact bag made sleeping in all conditions bearable. Whether in 130 or 20 degrees, it somehow stays breathable/cool during the summer while keeping you snug as a bug during cold winter months.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from pure quality This bag is like having a nuclear furnace on me. Tough to use in the summer, it's just too warm zipped all the way up, but great when it's cooler or unzipped and used as a quilt in hot weather. I've slept in it down to low 30's with no problem, but w/ clothes on. The quality is unsurpassed, everything about it feels money. I hesitated dropping a wad on this, but I don't regret it. I can tell this is something I'll have for many years. The shell material is super soft and silky, it's so nice I started using in in my bedroom on cold nights, so comfy!
