Initial Review: AWESOME!I just received this jacket as a gift and all initial signs point to it being awesome. Very comfortable, great materials (pockets have soft lining) and I LOVE the thumb loop. It hasn't been too cold in MN this winter yet, so I may have to update in Jan/Feb. There is a large interior pocket to the jacket, it's not lined (made of netting) but good for stashing gloves, hat, cellphone, dog leash.
Fits true to size as well!

You will not believe this jacket!!!This jacket is well fitting, has great seam construction, and completely delivers on warmth without the weight - which is enough to make it a great find for the price without anything else.
HOWEVER what makes this jacket truly AMAZING (there are actually no other words besides amazing that can even describe it) is the nanoshpere material that is on the outside of the jacket.
If you are not familiar with nanosphere (as I wasn't before purchasing this product) it is a form of textile technology produced by schoeller that results in the garment not only being water proof - but actually water-phobic.
If you put the jacket on and spray the sleeves with water from a hose or a sink nozzle, the fabric beads and dispels the water, almost to the point that it appears the water is bouncing off the jacket, really remarkable stuff.
You can see it happen in a video released by schoeller here, which before I received the jacket I assumed was a hyper time lapse version of what actually happened to water particles, but unbelievably what is pictured in the video is actually what you will see happen on the jacket with your own eyes in real time.
The same can be said for materials such as honey and ketchup which also seem to sit above the surface of the jacket and are completely removed with just one wipe.
Here is a similar coating placed on objects other than jackets that demonstrates more:
Here is how schoeller explains the technology:
Needless to say this is now not only the best jacket I own, but also a conversation starter and a source of envy for all my friends.
