I was looking for a lightweight shoe for trail running but didn't like the vibram fivefingers shoes at all. These shoes have a solid but lightweight sole with very aggressive tread on the bottom which I think is actually better than most other trail shoes I've worn. Overall a great comfortable shoe that does it's job well.
Can't be happier with this. It's breathable, it's lightweight, good traction, comfortable fit, secure laces and looks great. Been walking through many muddy bayous, rinsed them off and they still look great. It's only been a month but the treads have held up and worked better than any other barefoot shoe I've tried so far (Merrell and New Balance). This shoe is just so awesome.
"A great shoe to have in your arsenal for comfy off-road trail blazing."

Vivo Barefoot Breathos are basically tires for your feet. The chevron tread design provides plenty of traction in soft dirt and sand while providing plenty of feedback for those wanting a barefoot experience, without the stone bruises and root trauma. They are light, breath well (duh), and are very flexible - you can feel your foot wrapping around large rocks and fallen trees. The toe box is nice and wide without feeling loose. They do not have a separated tongue, so the body of the shoe is like a glove. The only annoying thing is these are shipped with shoelaces that are too long and don't like to stay tied.
