"Can't go back to sneakers after wearing these."
I love these shoes. I am now on my second pair! The purple ones are definitely my favorite. At first they took some getting used to... I had to actually sit and put each of my toes in them. But once they broke in I could just slip them right on and go. I love feeling each of my toes grip the ground (they have these extra little toe grips that some of the other models lack). The laces make them very fashionable. I receive compliments all the time -they look like real shoes!
I bought these Vibrams for my workouts. They took a little time to get used to, it's a bit weird having something in between your toes. But after about an hour I didn't even notice it anymore. Straight to my workout and BAM!, super awesome workout! I normally workout bare foot, but would slip in my socks and several family memebers recommended that I check out Vibrams. I love the look of the Speeds... part toe shoe, part sneaker. What makes these shoes great for a workout is that you get a feel for the floor and where your foot is, unlike in sneakers, but you don't slip and flail around like you would in socks. The shoes fit like a glove and I found the sizing to be true to size.
Seriously, I've gone through 3 pairs of vibrams--NOT because they are poor quality--because I work my shoes hard. I expect them to keep up with anything I decide to do. And these are the only shoes that can do that. Trust me, you will not be sorry if you buy these...unless you have webbed toes, or your 2nd toe is longer than your first, then you are out of luck.
