Following in the footsteps of the original Vibram FiveFingers Bikila, the new Bikila LS offers a closed speed lace system to accommodate a wider foot or higher instep. The Bikila LS shares the same revolutionary platform as the Bikila, which features a Dri-Lex covered 3mm polyurethane insole (thickest under the ball) and a 4mm anatomical pod outsole design. This combination provides superior plating protection and distributes forefoot impact without compromising essential ground feedback. These Vibram Five Finger’s have an upper that is constructed of Coconut Active Carbon for natural breath-ability. An athletic padded collar and top line, 3M reflective surfaces, and abrasion resistant TPU toe protection add to Bikila LS’ road worthy design. The defining feature of the Bikila LS’ is its closed quick lace system assuring a custom fit for a wider range of foot types.

This is my second pair of Vibrams and I love these more than the 1st pair. Very comfortable. Easy to take on and off. I use these at least an hour a day 5 days a week for working out in my crossfit like workouts. Feet are snug in the shoes. I will buy another pair when these wear out.
"I'm a mininalist, these vibrams make my feet look good."
Vibrams arn't for everyone, but I love my new pair. I don't regularly run in them, but they are perfect for rock hoping, lifting, and calisthenic workouts. Word of caution: make sure you have a pair fitted at a local store; these shoes are unforgiving if you buy the wrong size.
"Great for all levels of usage; running, lifting, hiking etc."
I purchased my first pair of the komodosports last year and was thrilled with them. I had Medial Meniscus surgery way back when and have always ran. Since the addition of these shoes I never suffer from knee pain due to the change in the way force is loaded on the knee from running on your forefront. These shoes push you into a non-heel striking stance that repositions the force on the knee joint. For me it's been a godsend. These Bikila's have been just as phenomenal. I recommend these shoes to anyone whose a recreational runner and wants a killer calf workout!
I've been running for a while, and until now I've only had normal shoes to be running in. It just feels extremely natural to have these shoes on because they fit to your feet so perfectly. There's no more worrying about the laces and how it's going to stay on and not slide around, and it feels like you're running without shoes on at all most of the time. If you think they look funny, it' because they do, but the uniqueness of it makes it all the better.
I wear these things everywhere! They are great for airports because you don't have to take them off when going through the scanners. My wife and I recently wore ours on a trekking trip we took through the Mayan jungle in Mexico and was able to climb some Mayan ruins in them with no problem at all. That alone saves time on putting them on and taking off, not to mention its so much easier than tying a shoe. Don't wait, its as easy as hopping on the ole' lappy-top and click add to cart! Obviously purchase these from Moosejaw because all other competitors are lame! Peace, love and Moosejaw!
Wanted to use this product for running / mild trail walking / hiking on flat (not rock climbing terrain) trails / walking around campsites and they do they job. Over the years I've had some knee issues and the face that these don't put more stress on them is a big selling point. One of the major things when considering the purchase of FiveFingers is your pinky toe. By far, this is the hardest one to get into the toe slot as well as the feel in that it's spread away from your other toes as well. It takes time to get used to. Also, when initially putting these on, all of your toes will want to go into the wrong slots and it will feel extremely funny.
I have the Vibram Treksports for trail running, but I also wanted something for occasional street running. I'm loving the Bikila LS so far. I typically don't wear socks with them on shorter runs under 4 miles, but on longer runs it can be helpful to have socks because there will inevitably be some rubbing. The sole seems a little thinner, so if you're going for a more minimalist feel, these would be a great place to start if you plan to run on the road or soft trails. I wouldn't recommend these for hard and rocky trails because of the thinner sole and because the tread pattern is more conducive towards street running.
"Favorite Vibram style for long distance running"
I own A LOT of different styles of FiveFingers (over 10, it's an addiction, but they helped fix my back), and these are by FAR my favorites for long distance running. The lacing system is super quick and comfortable, and I haven't had the issues that I've had with some of the models with velcro straps rubbing on the inside of the shoe and causing chaffing during long runs. The tread offers slightly more coverage than KSO's, but they still have a great ground feel. I recently used these on my first marathon and couldn't be happier.
Bought them about a month ago as a birthday present to myself. They feel great and help my posture. I feel like they make running easier. The only downside is the smell, after a few days wearing them they started getting a bit ripe, but they're machine washable.
