I bought these for backpacking in the Rockies this past summer. They were not hard to break in, and are VERY comfortable. Even on multiple 5-day trips, I only got one blister for the entire summer (from walking on talus for hours). I would definitely recommend these boots to anyone looking for a reliable and comfortable hiking boot. The only downside is that they don't repel water too well, but that can be expected for any boot that isn't completely leather.
