Minimal, light, simpleI bought these boots recently to replace my old GoreTex leather Keen boots. I wanted something more resembling a trail shoe but still sturdy with good traction. These boots fit the bill! They are light and flexible with good soles. I am in love with the retro green and purple color scheme!! I usually wear an 8.5 in everyday shoes but bought these in 9 Wides and they are perfect to wear with a medium thickness trail sock. First Vasque purchase and second Moosejaw purchase and I am happy with both!

Awesome Hiking BootsI was pleasantly surprised when I ordered these into the store and tried them on. The Monolith Ultradry is perfect for new hikers who aren't quite used to the heaviness of normal hiking boots, and it's also perfect for people who generally want less weight on their feet. This boot is true to size and extremely comfortable. It's lightweight and pliable, yet still offers the support needed while hiking. They hardly need to even be broken in, as they aren't very stiff to begin with.

A great recreational hiking bootA perfect boot for even or mildly rocky trails. It has a nice appearance, looking more like a walking shoe than a hiking boot so it's also nice for in town trail walking. I've had no heel slide or blisters. I tend to pronate and wear the heels on shoes unevenly but so far, after a long summer of hiking, the heels are holding up well. I hike mostly in canyons and mesas, some easy climbing, some off-trail. I would definitely recommend this boot.
