"Good boot for the money" 11/30/11
The fit and comfort of this boot is excellent. The only drawback I can find is not having some toe rubber. Waterproofing has been good so far on my pair and I anticipate the boot will hold up well for the majority of peoples uses.

This is his 2nd pair. He outgrew the 1st pair and they took all his crap and still look pretty good. Hoping he can stop growing so he can get more use out of these now that he hit the adult sizes. He says they are comfortable, keeps him dry and warm.

This boot is fantabulous! The fit and durability are right on the money. The rugged and technical aspects of the Vasque Breeze come in handy when ascending steep rock, scree, or snow, running (or sliding) down trails, or crossing wet rock and raging glacial creeks. I love it, and so should you. Note: As water/snow can seep in the membrane and pores, wear gaiters with these if you are mountaineering/climbing.

Switching from a heavier hiking boot to the Vasque Breeze was a revelation. This is a great, lightweight boot for the price range and has held up great. I've been on 7 multi-day treks and countless day hikes and my pair is still going strong. I'm someone who craves ankle support, so finding a lightweight high top that lasts was awesome. I've stood in ankle deep rivers with these boots and not gotten wet. Yet the breath quite well. All in all a great purchase.

I work at Philmont Scout Ranch, the largest youth camp in the world, with backcountry of over 137,500 acres. There is no other boot I see more than the Vasque Breeze. I too have a pair. I think they are a wonderful shoe for a trekker who is looking for something to get them through. Personally now, with more experience, I may choose elsewhere, but I can always rely on my pair. If you ever doubt the waterproofing in this shoe, or any shoe, i did, fill it with water, and wait 24 hours. if you see any wetness on the outside, get it resealed, or contact Vasque. I doubted mine, however, mine turned out to be just fine, i just needed rain pants.
"Mediocre" 07/09/11
The first thing to go will be the seams on either side of the toe box. I'm a big guy so the rest of this might not happen to you but around 500 miles I started losing chunks of rubber of the bottoms as if they had dry rot. Before I could get to a decent sized town I was walking on a bare plank and the nails had poked through the sole and rubbed holes in my foot. I know these are light hikers but I replaced them with a pair of Garmont light hikers and in addition to having the rubber toe box that should really be on any shoe you plan on wearing into the woods they made me feel like I had been wearing tissue boxes on my feet before.

These boots are incredible. I switched to these from a pair of Columbia boots and it was like going from my first used car with 200,000 miles on it to a Cadillac. They are comfortable, durable, good-looking, and did I mention comfortable? I would recommend them to anyone who hikes regularly and needs a pair of good fitting, comfortable boots to make it a little easier on one's feet.

I've waited a few months to put in my review here because I wanted to make sure that I didn't lie... Now that it's summer, I can finally give my honest review. Winter - good. Spring - good. Summer - good. Wearing to office - good. Wearing to shovel snow - good and dry. Wearing to Royals games in the summer - good. Wearing while writing this review - GREAT.
"Comfortable, durable, waterproof boot!" 04/23/11
I have logged 100 or so miles on these boots and i find them to be really comfortable. They offer really good ankle support and they have good traction. They are as waterproof as can be and they are really durable so they will last a long time. Simply put they are an excellent boot.
