    "Supportive Multi-application Waterproof Trail Runner/Light Hiker"  04/11/08

These are cut a bit higher than the non-XCR version, which adds a little extra ankle support. The deep heel cup minimizes blister causing foot slippage and the roomy toe box helps prevent your toes from jamming into the shoes on long downhills. The Blur XCRs take a few runs to break in since initially they're pretty stiff, but after that, they feel great. They're not quite as breathable as the non-XCR version, but that's the trade off you make if you want an all season trail runner. I also use these for light hiking and have never felt like I was missing anything in not having a dedicated hiking boot. Overall, my favorite outdoor shoe.

    "Versatile"  02/19/07

These took a while to break in, especially with the higher ankle padding/support, but I've grown to love them. Not a light show, but they don't feel too bulky running. The best thing about these is that they work well on trails, road, and even tread mills. Not as good traction, but much better cushioning than my ld Solamons. Laces tend to get loose on me while running. Definitely go for the XCR version.
