Great ice tool great priceGot these after reading Dane's review on Cold Thistle. Climbs very similar to Nomic but the grip is not as flimsy as the Nomic. If you have really big hands the grip might be too small. I wear a large glove and the grip size works for me in most gloves. Grip material durability could be an issue. Used a coulle of times 1 season no issues yet. Raptor also has a real spike for piolet cane, handy for funky approaches and top outs. The spike is beefy and you can clip an umbilical tether to it. Picks needed lots of sharpening out of box but worked great after this.

Bang for the buckThis has become my most used set of tools. They swing great for me and the grip is awesome. Have used them on long alpine routes (a hammer would be nice, but still works well), moderate/hard ice and mixed. They do everything well, and the price is amazing.
The head bolts started to rust immediately - I replaced them with stainless for $2.80. Problem solved

A Real Climbing AxeAfter doing a little bit of research I decided to get this axe, and though it isnt climbing season it got here so quickly it would have made great timing if I needed a replacement during ice climbing season. So far it is light and aggressive enough to handle what I use it for so it is definitely on my list of better axes
