Trango Rack Tags are the perfect solution to all of my gear-marking troubles! They are also now the envy of all my friends and climbing partners who understandably are jealous of these easy-to-use, STICKY, versatile, cost-effective, easy-to-apply, and easy-to-identify tags offered in 10 different, good-looking color combinations based on your personal preference/needs. I use them for my rock climbing gear rack, labels on everyday items (such as USP Zip Disk Drives and Nalgenes), and best of all have TONS still left thanks to the generous 100 tags per pack (I've barely used 1/5th of the two packs I purchased). To top it off, these things are sticky as possible and stay on gear rather than peeling off a few weeks after application! Highly recommended to everyone -- BUY THESE AND NEVER WORRY ABOUT YOUR GEAR WALKING OFF FOR GOOD AGAIN!
The tags are a great idea, just not executed very well. Perfect size for wrapping around a biner, but unless it is round, the tag doesn't sit evenly on the surface and creates little pockets. Also not as sticky as I would like (some of the ends start to peel back) and not very durable. These are thinner than electrical tape and the slightest nick will take off some of the tape...
I could have bought tape, cut it, applied it and been done. But I'm busy.... and a little lazy. For the time and aggravation saved, these guys are worth the few extra bucks. They are pretty solid too. Maybe they'll hold up better than electrical tape. Time will tell!
Some people made fun of me for spending so much money for something that could be done with regular tape. I disagree though. Trango Rack Tags makes for easy gear marking. The apply easily and have a very solid feel plus they don't loose there color when scratched against the rock. Don't let your climbing partner fool you into believing that cam is his ever again!
