These Ninja shoes sized a bit big for me but, they are O.K. if you wear toe socks. There were no reviews but they were on sale! So, I hit the submit button and a few days later I had a beautifully packaged box on my table. After a lengthy time admiring the skill at which said shoes were packaged, I opened the box and put the shoes on my feet. They are not too bad barefoot but, they need socks. It all has to do with the way they tighten. The hook and loop closure over the top has these plastic grommets. When you tighten the shoe, with the laces or the strap, the grommets make contact with the top of your foot. This is not the best situation, as there is only a thin layer of pseudo-suede between the hard plastic and your foot. It does not ruin the shoes but it does make them uncomfortable if you choose to go sockless. I found that I CAN wear regular socks and just make a split in the big toe area but, they feel so much better with individual toed socks. They do cool well and there is the bonus that you can tell people you are wearing ninja shoes.
