"this bag is great for the beach and just walking about"

first of all the color scheme is sweet, and the design is practical and cool, my only complaint is that there is not that much room although i do have a small
I bought this bag to use when bicycle commuting to and from work. It fits very comfortably on my back and holds a good of things, including my laptop. Easy side access helps to get items out without having to open the bag completely up. I have wanted a Timbuk2 bag for years now and I'm so happy I finally have one. After my experience with it already, I'm definitely going to invest in a messenger bag at some point also.
It looked A LOT smaller in picture, but it's actually quite the opposite. I think I can carry a 2 year old in it and have space for a 17-inch laptop. Overall I'm just mind blown by how loose and comfortable it is. There is a lot of space for 3 class worth of stuff and convenient zippers to hold and organize everything. I love the water bottle pocket on the side and the secret zipper pocket in the back; perfect for iPods! Since it has an overlap, it can probably fit a small sleeping bag. It's pretty swag.
"great pack for my laptop and all my books"

So i was using the The North Face Bigshot pack before I got this and I still love it b/c of all the extra pockets for all my various stuff, but the Swig pack is better since it's deeper I can get more books in it & pack a lunch all because of the fold-over top. It was much harder to get my lunch in the other pack. Its made for a 17" macpro so it has plenty of room for my macbook. I was skeptical about the ergonomic straps (they're thinner), but they really do work well, thus no need for a waist strap. The hidden pocket is cool tool. My first timbuk2 product & definitely not my last.
