"I actually USE this bag (all the time)" 04/10/13
Most bags have features that are there, but go unused. Timbuk2 has such good design, I actually use every freakin pocket! I love the pocket that you can unzip without opening the bag. I've commuted with this bag for 2 years, taken it traveling, and taken it climbing. It served me well on all occasions! It is easy to clean out as well. Coffee spills.
"Sizing Chart is Metric folks..." 03/13/13
I originally ordered the XS as I was looking for more of a basic travel bag / glorified fanny pack...mistake as it is way too small and the shoulder strap looks too big in comparison to the bag. I returned it for a Small and am very happy with the overall sizing. NOTE to Moosejaw...size chart is in CM not Inches so customers get out your conversion tables.I really like the ability to pull the bag around to the front and reach in to the handy dandy hidden zippered compartment without having to undue your bag...great for passport / seat assignment etc.
"Awesome bag with some nice features :{D" 10/29/12
I got a medium and I can fit books, folders, and watchmacallits with room to spare! This bag is littered with pockets and zippers on the inside which is great. The velcro is nice because it keeps the flap down when I'm too lazy to do the clips. It comes with a separate stabilizing sling (around your waist) which I like. The nice padding on the strap is a plus too. Great bag overall with a great warranty (lifetime)! The red/gunmetal is sweeet! :D
"Comfortable, great quality, and stylish!" 09/29/12
This bag is great for my commuter lifestyle. The medium size fits everything I need to spend my day on campus; I can fit two textbooks and my 13' laptop. Comfortable and ideal for biking. High quality material and super stylish! It's a great bag.
"Awesome bag almost waterproof!" 05/31/12
Recently got one of these and it is awesome, it has more pockets than you'll ever need and I personally like the black matte buckle much better than the one on Chrome bags (too much bling imho). It is also waterproof 99% of the time, except under I guess torrential rain. Overall I'm very happy, I got the Medium size and it has more than enough space for 1 set of clothes, laptop, lunch & lots of random crap I haul around.
"Great bag overall" 04/09/12
I've had this bag for the past year and it's held up extremely well. I've been surprised at the amount of stuff you can get in there (I got a Medium), but its the perfect size for day-to-day.The only things I can find to criticize about this bag are the fact that there is no "handle" if you wanted to carry it like a briefcase. You have to pick it up by the shoulder strap only. That and at certain times (particularly walking at a brisk pace), if you don't have the front clips clasped they rattle and are a little annoying. All in all this is still the best bag for work I've ever owned. It's stylish, there are a ton of spots to put things, and it's extremely durable.
"Great bag but terrible strap." 01/24/12
This is a great bag to take to work. I own a medium and it is big enough for me to carry my lunch, a change of clothes, my folder carrying my necessary documents, and a nalgene water bottle (1 liter). My only gripe is that the strap that comes with the bag tends to make carrying heavy loads uncomfortable. I ended up buying a deluxe strap which helps redistribute the weight better, but carrying heavy loads a long distance can be uncomfortable. I've used this while walking and riding my bike to work without any major issues.
"The Perfect Messenger Bag" 01/15/12
I'm a nursing student & avid climber. I had The Northface Basecamp Messenger, but returned it to get this bag since the stitching is more bomber and the material looks thicker and more durable. It's also more slimmer, but carries my folders & several textbooks. The napoleon pocket, the quick lease strap & quick adjust is such an innovative ideal. The inside is completely lined w/ their waterproof PVC material. You might want to check other bags for this addition. It's also large enough when I go bouldering for the day (water, food, shoes, chalk bag, clothes).
"Super Crazy durable!" 11/29/11
I have used my medium timbuk2 bag for 6 years! This thing is a part of me now! I have spilled all sorts of stuff in it, a hose washes it out. I have carried all sorts of things in it, it carries things well. I use it for commuting, cycling, grocery getting (along with panniers), as a carry-on while traveling, and as a field bag while doing research. The outer fabric has not piled in a single spot, and has surprisingly few stains. I regularly get the bag soaking wet an covered in mud when it is in the bottom of a boat but the contents are always dry. The waterproof interior really is top-notch.
"Like your very own hunchback!" 09/24/11
Not in the weird, freak way.. i mean it like once you put it on it really feels like it's part of you. I have this bag on right now (tight against my back for bike riding) with a loaded 3" binder, a 11"x14" sketchbook, a few shirts, beer, and a box of 11"x17" photo paper. All weighing about 35 lbs. It can handle it's own. Feels very high quality, and is completely waterproof. I highly HIGHLY reccomend this bag.
"This is my third timbuk2bag" 09/08/11
I have owned this specific colored timbuk2 bag for about 2 months, but have had 2 other ones over time. I trade up every few years when there is a new color selection that catches my eye, but i still have my previous 2 that i go back and forth with. My oldest is 8 years old, and was used everyday through college, and if you see it sitting in my closet, it looks just as good as the newer ones. These are rugged and I take them to work, school, camping, and through airports (this fits perfectly under the seat in front of you on a plane when it is good and full).
"Have had the bag for a few months" 09/08/11
I have had this specific bag for multiple months and it is the third Timbuk2 bag that I have owned. I trade in every few years for new colors but always keep the old ones around because they are still in great condition. I got my first Timbuk2 bag over 7 years ago and it still has no damage or marks and I used it on a daily basis throughout college. I love these bags and I take them everywhere. To work, to school, on weekend trips, and on flights, it fits perfectly under the seat when it is stuffed full of stuff.
