Why didn't I think of this!I purchased the Thule Hullavator Roof Rack in oct 2007. The install was pretty straight forward, it came with a DVD and I found theThule Hullavator DVD to be as important as the instruction manual. The install was about a 45 minute process, I actually mounted it to my Yakama rack that its on top of a Ford F150 truck. Even on my 4X4 truck I was amazed at how low the system positions the boat for loading an unloading. Worth every pennyAfter a long day on the river and you arms are worn out, it is nice to hit your chase vehicle with these sitting on the roof. Unfold them and load at waist height and strapping them in is simple, pop them back up lock em and you are ready to roll. If you have had shoulder issues like most of us geezers they are also an excellent alternative to having to try and lift ontop of your vehicle. I bought 2 sets for our chase truck and it was expensive but well worth it, solid build from Thule. Five stars and two thumbs up!

Solid engineering, a great idea. One of the absolute neatest pieces of gear I've ever seen. The Hullavator makes it easy - actually easy - to load my kayak on to our SUV. If you've ever kayaked for seven hours and had to load your boat yourself, you'll understand the value of the Hullavator. It also looks ominous on your car, an extra plus. One downside - the final step of mounting the bars to your car or truck really requires another person, but for no more than about ten minutes.
