A hull of a good buyThis is my second hullavator, the other one is the 897 model. Before that, I had a 2 kayak trailer, which in retrospect was kind of the easiest thing going, because you just hooked up, plugged in, and you were off. When my next car didn't have a trailer hitch, I got a hullavator on one side, and J-cradles on the other. But on top of an SUV, they were kind of way up there, especially when trying to tie the kayak down. Check out the online hullavator videos. It is just so cool to be able to tie everything down at eye level. and up it goes with a 45 pound assist. Very stable, easy install. Square bars or aero bars are probably better, but I have round bars, and they went on easily enough with the help of a pair of pliers to get the bolt far enough through to start the nut. Faith gets you through the first time you tip it over your head on the way down.,,,,This is an amazingly well thought out product of Swedish engineering. A hull of a deal!

Save your back for more adventures! This rack is awesome for lifting those heavy touring kayaks up on the roof rack and saving your back. Many people in my sea kayaking group use this rack so it does the heavy lifting, not them. It's the best for the job, bar none.
This rack rocks!
