Best accessory for your roof racksIt works like a charm! It cuts down the wind noise by a ton and now I drive with my sunroof open again. I must have if you have roof racks on your car!

Must have for roof racks.I had had a permanent roof rack without the fairing on my car for over five years, thinking the noise was an unavoidable side effect of the load bars and that the fairing was just a cosmetic item. I finally decided to give it a try, and the fairing works exactly as advertised. It will not eliminate noise, but it will go go from feeling and sounding like a howling hurricane to a smooth constant airflow. Worth every single penny, as it made it possible for me to listen to podcasts without earphones on long kayaking road trips.
The fairing is not hard to assemble (it should take no longer than 20 minutes) but the instructions are definitely poorly written and illustrated. Think twice before inserting those plastic pins, as once installed they will need to be destroyed to be removed and extras are not included. Also, it comes with protective sheets that need to be removed on the front and the back. The front sheet is obvious, but the back is not and if you don't remove it, it will start peeling from the wind and make a whistling noise that will drive you nuts until you find the source. Installation is under five minutes, but you will need to completely remove any racks or cradles you have on the load bars before installing, which means that once installed the fairing is there to stay.
