Major flaw in all these new Thule racksI looked at all of Thule top of the car racks and found a major flaw. Everything relies on one single bolt to secure the bike to the rack and the rack to the car. It's not the lockable skewer you should worry about. A thief could steal the rack and bike in a minute.
As for function, it's great and does its job as well as the pace line or thru ride at a cheaper price. During transport it's fine. Does a great job with no noticeable wind noise... I just turn a radio up or close the moonroof. Would I buy again? Yes because it gives you more space inside the car when I need it. I'll use the top of my wagon as a last resort as I also have a Thule hitch mount.
Conclusion, don't leave your bike on top unless you have your eye on it.
