ThermaCapture

ThermaCapture
ThermaCapture Radiant Heat Technology is a proprietary reflective coating that we apply to a range of surfaces. By reflecting radiant heat back to your body that is otherwise lost, this extremely lightweight coating turns that surface into a very efficient heat reflector, amplifying warmth without the excess weight or bulk of added, conventional insulating materials.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm, Puffy Cloud I have been using this mattress for around 14 months now. It is by far the best investment I have made into my backpacking gear. Lightweight, super warm, comfortable, and durable. I use this pad for all seasons though I believe it was designed mainly for winter missions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exceeded my expectations I purchased the Neoair Xtherm sleeping pad last month and have used it on three overnight backpacking trips. This sleeping pad was exceptionally comfortable, didn't bottom out and kept me warm in frigid weather. This sleeping pad exceeded my expectations.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Expensive, but top-tier in just about every way! I received a gift card and was able to buy this (probably wouldn't spend this much on my own), and while I've only used it once, it already seems worth it compared to my old 1" trail lite pad. Pros: Thick & comfortable at 2.5", packs down very small, very lightweight, warm. (Nitpicky) Cons: Much harder to fold up than my old one (triple fold then roll vs just roll), takes a lot more air to inflate (duh), is slightly louder than my old pad (though my tentmates said they didn't hear anything)

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't do it I am unhappy to say that the wooden floor of a lean-to is not as accommodating to a 60 year old as I would like it to be. First night I woke up not realizing why I was uncomfortable. I found a completely deflated mattress. Second night, it deflated during the night. I inflated the expensive mattress again and woke up down to the wood in the morning.. it's your call. Being returned now..

Rated 4 out of 5 by from One night down, more to come I bought the Therm-a-Rest NeoAir as replacement for my ExPed mattress. Only one night use so far but it's as comfortable as my Exped, and feels warmer. They've seem to knock down the 'crinkle' noise on the Therm-a-Rest to a much quieter level. It's a little difficult to tri-fold while deflating in the morning in order to get in stuff sack, may become easier with practice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm and comfy! This is (so far) the best air mattress for backpacking I've ever had. It's both comfortable and warm. I am a cold sleeper, so that means a lot to me. I am small (5'3") and this mattress provides me with plenty of room. The only drawback is the price tag. Since I have only used it for two nights, I can't really comment on its durability.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from so far so good I haven't gotten out on the trail with it yet but I tried it on my floor and outside on a hammock in 30 degree weather. It's comfy and I stayed warm for the hour or so that I was on the hammock with a light blanket. It's a bit crinkly sounding at first but I'm guessing (hoping) it just needs a little break in time!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm and soft, like a flat, crinkly kitten I've used this one three times now for winter camping out in the Tetons. It keeps the cold off my backside and it has enough loft that I can sleep on my side without my arms falling asleep. It does give off a little crinkly noise when you move, but it's hard to hear over the snoring.
