The Therm-a-Rest Antares HD Sleeping Bag is a down sleeping bag for three season trips into the backcountry. The Antares HD has been packed full with 750+ Hydrophobic Down, keeping you warm down to 27°F. The down has been treated, allowing it to resist moisture longer than untreated down, keeping you warmer when wet and even dries faster. The SynergyLink™ Connectors slip over your mattress pad, so you stay on the mattress all night long, instead of rolling onto your friend's side of the tent and shivering upon the cold ground. The draft collar and draft tube deter cold air, acting like bouncers in a club, preventing any riff-raff from entering.

DWR tech

Durable Water Repellant
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Its good I bought a previous season Antares maybe two years ago, this review is old rubbish so ill keep it short. The bag as a whole is amazing, loved the synergy straps, the weight was right, and the stuffed down size was perfect for me. I think Therm a Rest entetrd the sleeping bag category very well. My only issues were that it doesn't have a full zip, I'm a kick your feet out sleeper. Even in colder temps I do it from time to time. So that and the fact that the15• to 20• range was off a bit. I slept outside up in Temagami, Canada with temps down to 32•ish degrees and I was cold. The newer versions have more loft and rated lower so maybe that's fixed Otherwise I would purchase again and I would and do recommend this bag

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable and light I bought this sleeping bag in the May of 2013. Wow finally a sleeping bag that is roomy on top and feels like my down comforter at home. I was nervous to have the lack of insulation on the bottom, but paired with my NeoAir I have never notice the lack of warmth. I stretchy bands keep it place on the NeoAir like a champ. This is my first sleeping bag that weighs under 2lbs and packs so small what a Joy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from light weight for great comfort I borrowed my buddies bag to try it. I really have a hard time just dropping the $ for gear without knowing how it will work. My test drive was great. We hiked into the Big South Fork the bag was light and worked with 30 degree nights. Time for a purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Our go-to sleeping bag!! My wife and I have been using this sleeping bag since 2013. It is our go-to bag for just about every backpacking trip. I would say we have slept in these bags well over 100 nights, including using it on a 2000-mile thru hike in New Zealand. Love that when it gets wet, we stay dry and the bag dries out very quickly. I am a tosser and turner when I sleep, so the synergy link system that keeps the bag attached to the sleeping pad is a game changer for me. No more waking up on the floor of the tent. The pack weight and size is key for us as we are always trying to keep the our weight at a minimum. This bag is well worth the price as it can last you a lifetime if taken care of. We try to always sleep with a bag liner so we decrease the times we wash the bags.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's great! I'd buy it again. I bought this sleeping bag about two years ago. I've taken on multiple backcountry trips in Ontario and to Hawaii. It has performed exceptionally well in both situations. It is lightweight and packs down very small but paired with a thermarest mat (I have the neoair all-season) it always provides the warmth and comfort I need. My wife has the women's version on this bag and she loves it. They kept us warm at 7000ft in Hawaii which is very cold. Worth every penny!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love love love this thing I have had this bag for over a year now. I take it everywhere with me. Have put it through some tough conditions on hunting trips. It packs down amazing. Very great warmth for the weight of it. Draft collar is a very nice feature. You do need to pair this with a sleeping pad as there is no insulation on the bottom of the bag. Bag stays locked to sleeping pad with back side loops which is also a great feature. Bottom line this is my favorite bag to date!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great bag I've had this bag for a year or so now, and I love it. I would never guess that a bag this warm would be under two pounds.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Light and small I have used to bag for 2 overnight trips thus far and it had kept me warm - actually a bit too warm during some summer nights. Giving 4 stars because zipper doesn't go down far enough for me to easily put my feet out and liner material of bag is not as soft as a mountain hardware bag I own. Packs down so nicely.
