The Therm-a-Rest Travel Cushion is an inflatable seat cushion for long rides. The combination of urethane foam, polyester fabric, and good old lung power relieves pressure on your seat bone. Separation from an old, worn out seat on an airplane helps both the back and the legs during the flight. The whole thing rolls up for stuffing in your backpack and only weighs four ounces. You can even get yourself a second and secure them together with the hook and loop tabs for protection under your butt and at the lower back. So cushy.

Use two to save your butt and back when travelingPros:,,1. Easy to adjust the amount of air for comfort.**,,2. It did give relief for my sacrum (tailbone) during prolonged sitting,,3. Adequate lumbar support for someone my size (petite female),,4. Compact and easy to put in by backpack. I use Velcro straps and a stuff sack.,,,,Cons:,,1. The cushion may slide depending on the fabric of the seat, so take a small piece of shelf liner with you (the non-adhesive type, of course).,,2. The Velco will snag clothes and fabric seats, so I had to wrap some fabric around it to protect clothes and seats.,,,,**Note: if you are traveling by air and you set these up BEFORE you take-off, you will need to readjust them once you are at your "cruising altitude" because of the air pressure change they will become very firm. I let air out of both of them once we were in the air and they were comfortable.,,,,If you are a larger person, I suspect that if you are using the Travel cushion under your bottom that it may be uncomfortable due to not being "deep enough"
