The Therm-a-Rest TrailLite Mattress is a lightweight sleeping pad for three season backpacking. The TrailLite is self-inflating, so you only have to use a little lung power to adjust firmness before bed. The foam inside is die-cut, which not only reduces the weight but allows the pad to be rolled up for smaller packing before heading out on the trail. You'll be sleeping in a tent in the middle of the woods, but it'll be way more comfortable with the TrailLite.

Products on Sale are Discontinued Styles or Colors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product My wife purchased one for me in 1991 when I as deploying to the Saudi from Ft Benning Georgia. I was skeptical that it would be durable enough and was thinking she wasted, at that time, a lot of money. It has kept me warm and comfortable on many deployments. My only regret is that it is the ¾ length the full length was too expensive. When my daughters got older they took it to many slumber parties and summer camps. I think my Brittany Spaniel used it for a bed when he was very old and suffering from arthritis. I am proud to say it is under my bed ready for our next adventure.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A excelent product for a fair price. Me and my wife used the Trail Lite during a 4 months trip in Patagônia. The product is well designed and worked great in every terrain we used it. We faced cold and hot days, sun and rain, still I got nothing to complain about our nights of sleep. The touch of the material is pretty good and feels very tough, we had no problems with holes or something like that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple, lightweight, and comfortable. I've been using the Thermarest Trail Lite regularly for over a year. I originally purchased it because it could be rolled up quite small for backpacking and was a bit thicker, when inflated, than the simple closed cell foam pad I'd used previously. Since you can adjust the thickness by adding extra air it tends to be more comfortable than the foam ones. But when deflated and stored in the included stuff sack it takes a lot less space in my pack. They are reliable and the material that they are made from seems durable. I've never had an issue with deflating on its own. I have used these pads on several winter outings and not once have I felt the cold through the pad. I find that the self-inflate feature does work but you really need to be patient. When you set up camp take the mattress out of the stuff sack, open the valve and lay it out with nothing on top of it. Let it sit a while and it will self inflate. My son is a bit impatient and he inevitably will blow it up manually. Not a big deal, but I know in the winter that your warm moist breath can cause condensation inside, so keep that in mind. Deflating and packing is quite easy. I just open the valve and let the air out. Then I fold it in half and roll out the remaining air. It packs down nicely and fits easily inside the stuff sack. The manufacturer recommends that you store the pad in the inflated position so it will remember that shape and will inflate faster on its own. They suggest leaving it under a bed or sofa. I don't have the room to do that so I keep them rolled up in the stuff sack and I have not had an issue so far. Overall this is a great product and I would recommend it to anyone who is planning on going camping or backpacking.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Never slept so de-luxe on the nature Sleep it essential and very important part of exit campaign, to this question I approached very seriously. Too many disappointments were with choice of the rug in the last years and is necessary warranty that it question will be settled time and on always. For me such requirements to the rug was important as: 1-ease 2-strength is 3-comfort and 4th use in any weather conditions. All 4 parameters were performed fortunately and I even would say, exceeded, a few times I used rug on water, for the sake of entertainment, to swim for a while))) It my one of the best purchases for campaign and travel.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sleeps like a baby I've had this mattress for some time now and have taken it through many adventures through the woods. Each and every day as the hike comes to an end I always find myself grinning because I get to sleep on my thermarest trail lite after a long day of many miles. I'm not kidding! If you want a good, durable, American made mattress at a price that doesn't make you question your decision after purchasing, than this is it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great! I bought the Trail Lite a year ago, for my summer as a Boundary Waters Boy Scout guide. It has been through miles and miles of wilderness and has yet to fail me. It's larger than some mattresses for rolling up, but it's steardy and I never worry about it getting punctured by rocks or sticks. If I'm ready for a mid day nap and it's too hot in my tent. I have no worries about laying it straight on rocks. Unless I'm sleeping on my side, I don't feel a thing at night, even if I'm right on top of a root or rock.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Surprisingly comfortable! I've always tended towards the thicker sleeping pads but a recent effort to ditch some weight had me looking at these - I went for it and am so glad I did, it's incredibly comfortable and is saving me a ton of space
