The Therm-A-Rest Trail Pro Sleeping Pad is Therm-A-Rest's warmest and most comfortable backpacking mattress ever. For serious. The Trail Pro features Therm-A-Rest's latest diagonal-cut foams that slow heat loss though the mattress to boost warmth, and they also applied pressure-mapping technology to ensure an ideal pattern of support and cushioning, right where you need it most. Together they allow the Trail Pro mattress to be light enough for the trail, decadent enough for car camping and versatile enough for everything in between. You cannot ignore the word decadent unless you're low-rent. The Trail Pro includes a stuff sack.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth it's weight in comfort and warmth! We are new to backpacking, early 40's in age and wanted something comfortable and warm. We did quite a bit of research before choosing this one. It is not as light or small to pack as some others but we don't plan to be out for more than a couple of days at a time. The regular weighs 2 pounds but gives you 2" of comfort and has an R-value of 4.8. I am 6' tall and the regular works fine for me. It is easy to inflate and had no problems deflating and rolling back up. My only wish is that it came with a smaller storage bag. I will probably just get some compression straps to use with it. Definitely glad we bought this product! Thank you Moosejaw for the excellent price and service!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great even when it was freeeezing. I picked this guy up a couple months back because I was heading out backpacking in the Great Smoky Mountains. I knew I needed a sleeping pad because it was gonna be below freezing everynight. Of course I went with the Thermarest. It worked great the pad is nice and thick and the self inflating is soo nice to have backpacking. It does not take up much room when deflated and rolled up and it fills up nice and quick all on its own. There was snow on the ground up over 3000 feet above sea level and this pad worked great. I was nice and toasty because of this pad and my bag.,,

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A few ounces heavier but worth it The extra ounces this pad weighs compared to the prolite and prolite plus is well worth it in comfort and durability. The skin on this pad is thicker and more durable compared to the lighter Thermarests. I like to prop my pad up against a rock, stump or just drop it on the ground - never had any issues but I worry a lesser pad would spring a leak. I watched a stray cinder burst a newer inflatable NeoAir XLite pad on a backpaking trip this summer - be careful by the campfire!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Soo Worth It! I am soo glad that I bought this sleeping pad. Sure, it's not the lightest out there, but the good sleep I get on it is worth the weight. (not that it's heavy by any means). I've used it in a hammock tent, regular tent, outside on the sand, and inside on hard floors. It has proven again and again that it stands up. It is very comfortable! It's really easy to inflate/deflate and rolls up nicely. I can't imagine getting through a camping night without it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for casual camping as well as backpacking! Me and my girlfriend both use the Trail Pro sleeping pads, and don't have a single complaint about them. This pad is a good balance between comfort and lightweight/packability. It's comfy enough to use on my fishing/car camping trips, but we also take them on our backpacking trips. You COULD go with something lighter and more packable, but you would definitely be giving up a lot of the comfort and warmth of this pad.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Take this backpacking and you'll be happy at night and sort of happy during the day. The Trail Pro is a solid sleeping pad. It's about as warm and comfortable as trail pads get. It's also pretty rugged and stands up well to tree roots, rocks, etc. If you're planning in skipping the tent and placing a pad directly on the ground, this guy would work nicely.,,,,The downside is that it's a bit heavy and bulky for a trail pad. But so long as you don't mind a few extra ounces, this one is a winner.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome. Not the lightest sleeping pad, but for my money has the best weight-to-comfort ratio out there. Self-inflates well, no extra breaths needed to inflate it completely. Much more comfy than my Thermarest ProLite, and not much heavier. Excellent quality, lifetime warranty, and a great night's sleep...definitely a good buy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Incredibly warm but a little to heavy for backpacking I have been working in Yellowstone for several months now and this requires backcountry camping. I loved this pad for cause backpacking and car camping but it's just too bulky and heavy to really pack with. Its really warm and super comfy! Perfect for car camping. I down graded to the Therarest Pro for pack trips
